View Full Version : FAO Fans Rep RE Ticketing (Villa Away)

Hi Kieran, there are rumours and information circulating on social media just now regarding Block 7 being allocated tickets for Aston Villa away even though the ST holders sale does not begin until tomorrow.
As fans liaison officer, can you please confirm if Block 7 have been allocated/had tickets put aside for them for this game? If so, what section and how many have they been allocated?
We've already seen a post on social media today, which has since been deleted saying that someone has been sorted out with a ticket through Block 7. The club stated at the Hibs First Membership launch night that they would not be given any sort of priority for away games and yet it seems they may have had tickets put aside for them.
If they are all members of Hibs First then thats brilliant, good stuff, I'll happily delete the thread and everyone can relax safe in the knowledge they are members, but if they are not all members of Hibs First and they have had tickets put aside then the club are going against the very ticketing system they put in place in the first place.
I'm sure I speak for many posters on here when I say this - I'm all for atmosphere at games and they do contribute to it very well but that shouldn't make them entitled to tickets or preferential treatment ahead of any other ST holder not in Hibs First.
Thanks in advance for your reply.

It’s a tough gig to be fair as there’s some amount of absolute throbbers to deal with.
I’m in favour of giving the young blades an allocation of 40 or 50 briefs. Much rather have them backing the team than many modern day football fan, offering little vocal encouragement and/or holding their phones in the air for a large part of the game.
If that upsets people then I’m sorry I don’t post more often.
Best wishes x

Outside of Hibs first there is no reason for any group to be given more priority over every other ST holder. End of.

One thing you don’t see in Scottish football is people recording on their phones. Think you’re getting confused with the EPL.

Big away games are generally fine without an organised section. Certainly wasn’t needed in Switzerland. Can’t say I’ve witnessed anyone holding their phones in the air for large parts of the game either.

It won’t take much time out of the day to relay a simple yes or no to be fair. Would also be helpful to clarify exactly how many tickets are available for purchase tomorrow. Not the allocation - what’s left after HF and comps or any others put aside.

Sorry mate, absolutely not. Unless they are all Hibs First members then they are no more deserving of tickets ahead of any other ST holder in tomorrows scramble, or any other high profile game.
Your holding the phone comment is nonsense by the way, thats tourists in England you're getting mixed up with.

More than likely hospitality holders at ER.
Pretty much every hospitality holder at any club will be given ticket priority for big games, as a reward for the financial support they give the club. Like Hibs First, but obviously on grander scale.

It’s only had to be asked because people including HC have been all over .Net tickets threads and other social media spreading rumours saying that B7 were getting special treatment.
On one hand they these people are complaining that B7 are intimidating people from their designated seats while simultaneously saying that B7 are being given special treatment by being allocated seats all together.

It reduced the availability of more tickets in today’s general sale and left many FFL ST holders to scramble with the rest - when these guys should have been sorted first. Also ST holders being able to buy additional tickets on Friday. Shambolic. There was a twitter/X post from Kieran indicating it was all planned that way when it clearly wasn’t. As they swiftly started tweaking the ticketing system over the weekend. Folk have lost out due to this chaos. Its a pretty big deal and isn’t a great look imo.

Clearly someone made a pig's ear of it, but it can't be undone so unless you're after your pound of flesh, not much point in chasing KP or Hibs for much more than an assurance it won't happen again, which I certainly hope and think it won't.

If it had came from any other poster probably so, you can just tell they were hoping for another answer.
They clearly state if KP confirms no priority they'll delete the thread, yet when that happens they move on to another question about ticket priority. The guy is utterly obsessed with tickets / ticket allocations for some odd reason.

It’s all online - youd basically extract the data into a spreadsheet out the back of the data and identify which ST bought more than 1 and which non ST bought a ticket before yesterday. It’s ticketmaster we’re talking about here - not some tinpot organisation.

Which would work if we were able to choose seats but we don't have that system in place on the eticketing site for this one. It's max 6 tickets and choose a section. You're then randomly assigned rows & seats.
I guess they could all roughly be in the same area, but then you'll have others buying in that area. Plus the tickets will go in 5 mins.

I know it would've been technically feasible but once the loophole was open for more than about 10 seconds, the genie was out the lamp and whatever route Hibs chose would've been a PR cluster ****.
All hypothetical now mind, the game is a sell out with the most Hibs fans in attendance at a game since the late 70's.

There is absolutely no chance they will be lucky enough to just so happen to get tickets together at Villa park in todays sale. Its impossible, so if they are all standing together then that raises another question. Were they sorted out? Or have they just piled into an area they fancy? If they are in the lower tier you will know theres nonsense going on.

Judging by a) KP's clear answer earlier in this thread and b) reports of their previous behaviour towards other Hibs fans, the "pile into area of their choice" option is the most likely one *if* that comes to pass, which I doubt it will.
With the game absolutely sold out, that could cause friction in the home stands before the game even kicks off. Hope everyone behaves themselves and sticks to their allocate seat, wherever it may be.

The piling into whatever area they please pish needs to GTF.
If I’m lucky enough to get tickets today then I want to be there, enjoying it with the people I bought tickets with, not ending up dotted round the away end trying to find whatever seat some coked up fanny has decided they don’t fancy.

I thought you said you hadn’t renewed your season ticket this year?
Surely you’re not planning to use someone else’s client reference number to jump the queue and deny a genuine season ticket holders a ticket?
I’ve not renewed. 20 odd years up until this season I had a season ticket and I won’t be renewing. I’ll no doubt still be along to most games but I simply haven't particularly enjoyed going to watch Hibs for a good few years.

They won't get tickets together but will take others seats as they do at all other away games. There is no ticket conspiracy just a bunch of young guys who think they are the only supporters that matter.

Thats exactly the type of thing that needs stopped by the club. Threats of intimidation and abuse towards other Hibs fans should be met with a ban on tickets for them until they learn to behave.
