I had to beg to get a couple of days off next week as we are well short so not pushing my luck.

Finish at 4 as usual, home for about 4,30, chuck 2 bairns in the car, dump one at his babysitter and get the foot down to get to ER with the other one.

Assume the path between South and the retail park will be open. Anyone know the time restrictions for parking there?

You get four hours I think. Not sure how that's monitored though.

That's nice. My manager has told me no chance so I'm not even gonna get the first half on the telly. Absolutely gutted I'm missing this.

Can’t believe it’s 2023 and people still work in inflexible jobs. Not on the individual themself but on the role/company

I'm self employed. Unfortunately my boss is a prick and won't give me the time off to watch either leg.

TBF I'm just returning from 2 weeks paternity leave so don't think it doesn't send out a great signal to be immediately taking more time off at short notice. I work late every Wednesday and work every other Friday morning - under other circumstances I'd have been at both legs, the way it's fallen this time I can't do either.

I'll go to some of the group matches instead.

I have the same issue next week. Driving from the West Country up to Birmingham.

Want to soak up some atmosphere. Have already stuck some “meetings” in my work diary.

Off anyway tomorrow but have a pre planned boozy lunch at the Hawes Inn with friends. Taxi from Hawes at 4.15 dropping me at Gyle tram stop before taking the wife home. Going to be tight but I will make it for KO.

I only work 2 hours a day, unfortunately between 5 and 7

For the Luzern game I asked my boss if I could start early so I could leave at 6 to make ER for kick off and she said 'no book it as annual leave instead' in spite of the fact that in truth me starting an hour early and doing the job 4 to 6 in reality doesn't make a jot of difference and she knows it ... rather pedantic I thought.

Got tomorrow off now, but unfortunately wont make ER any earlier than an hour, probably less, before KO because my mate can't get away until 3:45 which is a bugger coz I wanted a few hours in the pub pre match, even though it would be mostly non alcoholic stuff .... might even have got the train up for this one so I could make a proper day of it .. ho hum, at least I'll be there :greengrin

If you work in a care based job do you just leave your clients??

Last appointment tomorrow starts at 4, it’s in Motherwell. All going ‘Well (thread was lacking in puns) should be leaving to head home circa 5 and home by about 5:25 ish. Beer time. Gutted I can’t be there but it’ll need to do.

Indeed get there earlier than you think, just like signing on to buy tickets for this game.

Traffic around town will be wild too - so simply leave plenty of time for this one.

Not usually bothered about warm ups etc - but will arrive early and enjoy the atmosphere build.

I work 8-4 with a 2.30 finish once a week. As I do the rota it’s no surprise my early finish is tomorrow.
