Another composed and solid performance from this lad. Definitely think we need to use him as back up if Miller out as he is instinctively a more natural defender than Delferriere. Booked quite early but then managed his running battle with Vaughan with a level head. Vaughan was streetwise with him but definitely didn't get the better of him.

Well done, son 👍

He played really well. He totally mistimed the tackle he got booked for but he didn't let it affect the rest of his game.

Yeah he played well. Won lots of headers too due to his anticipation

I thought some of his positioning at the back post was a big suspect for cross balls. Better crosses/players and we would have been punished.

Poor and shaky first half but much more solid after ht.

I thought he did all right. Got caught a couple of times first half and was a bit worried after his booking but thought he settled down after that. No convinced he is or will be our right back though. Thought he looked more comfortable at centre half when I saw him at Blackpool.

Thought he was really poor if I'm being honest. Lucky not to get himself sent off.

100% agree.

Kind of sums up the standard of players we have who are on the fringes of our first team.

In his defence though he is young and inexperienced. Most of the others on the fringes of the first team I cannot defend.

Really poor? Seriously? Made a rash challenge but he did alright.

Thought he done well.

Was good on the ball and I think defends 1 v 1 scenarios really well for someone so young, always seems to have that wild tackle in him which he loves so I was nervous he was going to get sent off.

Where he did struggle a bit was defending his back post as he lost his man a couple of times from crosses from the opposite side.

Another thing I noticed and not a criticism as such but he always seemed to come infield and never played down the line that often, maybe a confidence thing or just by the time he got set and lifted his head it wasn’t on - the one time he did he played a great ball in behind the Youan.

Well done Kenayo and congratulations

Really poor?

I sometimes wonder if I've been watching the same game as other people.

Me too. It’s like a disease. I think folk see what they want or think they should see. I thought he had a fine game. Very solid.

I thought he was OK. That's about it. Grew into the game, neither really good or really bad.

Good game. Defended well. A couple of minor passing issues but we’d have subbed the whole team if we are licking fault in that.

Thought the young lad did well , confident on the ball.
With him being on a booking could see why Johnson took him off.
No idea why he brought Stevenson on though weakened the defence and we lost a goal soon after.

This type of thread sums up the Internet - He's either excellent or honking. It's difficult as a fan that couldn't get to the game to get a feel for how we did.

Surely there's no one that thinks he's honking after that today?! He's ****ing 19! Put in a great shift, won the majority of his battles and was good on the ball.

Why do folk (those that think he's honking) expect, unrealistically, every player to be the complete package from the word go? Crazy stuff.

Thought he did well. For someone so young, didn't hold back in the tackle, decent in possession. Rough around the edges but there's player in there.

Hibs as a unit today were mostly 'honking'.

Individually I thought Megwa looked very promising for a kid making his debut.

He was put in ahead of Delferrière and did well enough to be picked ahead of him next time it's one or other of them.

Thought he did really well again today (was good in Blackpool too). Didn't look out of place and handled his booking well. Good in the air, strong and likes a tackle. Great to see lads coming through and doing well.

Really poor? Seriously? Made a rash challenge but he did alright.

Thought he constantly gave the ball away and his awareness was all over the place. Wasn't impressed at all and was wanting him hooked at half time. Compare that to Harbottle who I thought came in and strolled it. Putting it down to his inexperience but it was a good game to give him a chance.

Thought he had a good game wee bit shaky as they all were in first half, but this young guy is a player.
Was close to Stevenson after he came on and he was blowing oot his ercky and getting brushed off the ball, with his experience expected a little bit better, no comment on what a quality winger from Villa will do with him, just hope he proves me wrong if playing.

It was hard to say as he looked solid and assured at times then nervous and rash at other times just as you would expect any 19 year old to be making his debut.

His biggest weakness seemed to be positioning and concentration as players were getting in behind him and his biggest strengths tackling and being very athletic.

Until Cadds come back right back still looks a problem area as Miller can't hold the fort alone.

He was generally good today , pretty composed most of the time.
His ball through for YOUAN was fantastic.
He has a fantastic leap and is good in the air , he’s strong.
He isn’t the finished first team player, he’s 19.
For some fans to say he’s poor after ahis first team debut, is rubbish.

Brilliant - no
Rubbish - no.

Mildly lucky not to be sent off? Possibly.

To compare him to Harbottle is a bit unfair, he is 23 next month and has 50 games under his belt. He also wasn’t helped by a struggling Boyle playing in front of him. Megwa was not great today nor was he dreadful. He looks athletic, very good in the air and gets forward comfortably. Has to improve the defensive side of his game but that should come with a bit more experience and games.

Shaky ten minutes but stuck to the task in hand

At first I thought we were in for a repeat of Miller getting pulled out of position and players getting in behind against St Mirren but he grew into a good game and put a lid on it

Seemed to enjoy the physical element of the game and caused Raith problems going forward not so much defensively but that can be coached

Liked his competitive approach and attitude good leap on him and hopefully still a bit of growing to do

Agreed - for me he, along with Harbottle, were the only bright spots in that first half. He looked composed and assured, and not at all out of place.

I’d play him in midfield as the sitting midfielder. He can pass and read the game
