As it says, i believe some fans have already stated that there is a train strike in england the day after the aston villa AWAY game.
It would be great if anyone has any relevant information on this, i’ve already bought my tickets return.
Would i get a refund on the return ticket, is one of the many questions.

Surprised they haven't pulled the tickets as yet.

I'm booked up on the early train on Friday morning as I've work at night.

I’ve always found it difficult to get refunds from train companies, usually takes weeks. 😞

Will there be local trains? Was planning on getting the train to Birmingham International for my flight home? No big deal if not I'll just get a taxi or bus direct from the hotel.

How you doing C?

According to the Trainline app you should be able to get a refund for the 2nd part of the journey and still use the outwards part if the 2nd part is cancelled due to the strikes.

looking online and it looks like Transport for Wales aren't affected by the ASLEF strike, and TFW run services out to the Airport from New Street, could chance it that way, but suspect that train would be very busy if it runs, you're probably better off with a bus or a cab

Is it possible to cancel friday the 1st ticket and the not 31st.on a return .I just did this - got in touch with them via webchat, quoted my booking ref and the guy processed it there and then. Refund to my card next week, and the first part of the booking (Waverley to New St Bir) is still valid. All good.
