He takes stick when he's crap, so only fair he gets praise when he's excellent. Apart from the odd tactic of banging it long to their defenders for 75 minutes, he absolutely kept us in it in the second half.

Fair play, the gloves are his for now.

I wondered if he could have come for the cross for their 2nd but seeing it again I'm not totally convinced.

Funny how second part of my post was ignored, Marshall didn't have a great end of last season and start of this season, we sign two keepers in the summer, but having said that glad he was in tonight 👍🏻

Good to see. Seems like the sort of guy you want to do well. Hopefully the first of many. Felt really sorry for him in the first goal when the defenders kind of let him down after his excellent save.

Hopefully he has learned from past mistakes and is the keeper most of us thought we were signing.

Really harsh imo he did put it wide and was imo an excellent save. His defenders should have been marking the scorer.

Maybe just naturally slowing down a bit with age however think he definitely can be better than recently. Think he needs a decent back up hopefully Jojo is good enough to compete and play when necessary.

A fine performance from David away to Swiss. Happy for him and will no doubt take some much needed confidence from that performance.

His save before the first goal was brilliant.

Hopefully he gets confidence from this game, although experienced he can still have a loss of confidence which is surely half the reason he’s been poor.

Very well done and came up when we needed you

Marshall took the sting out of the game quite cleverly at times on Thursday, but i think he'd be disapointed with his contribution to the 1st goal, i feel he should have done much better in clearing the ball away with his initial parry.

Made some great saves but as others have said I’d love him to be more dominant in his box.

His best game for a while.

His kicking could have been a bit better, booted it straight out several times.

Credit where credit is due but still doesnt mean we need soneone else between the sticks IMO.

Any criticism of him at the first goal is extremely harsh imo. It was a great save.

He now seems to be in the position that he gets slated for things that aren’t his fault, folk shouting for him to come for balls that he has no chance of getting etc.

Put it this way, if it had gone in we'd have been slaughtering him for it.

No offence but that's a ridiculous take, it's a very good save and his defence let's him down badly by not reacting to second and third balls.

He played well on Thursday - much more like what I expect from him.

I’m still very worried about corners, free kicks into the box etc as he just had no presence in there at all. Teams seem to find it so easy to take him out the game by sticking somebody in front of him.

Rocky stuck to his line but you felt he had the stature and reflexes to maybe deal with goal attempts that came from crosses.

I maintain Marshall should have diverted the ball better, further away or out for a corner. It's better defending at those goals we need to aspire to, as in my opinion both goals were given to them, they didnt have to work hard for them.We lose too many soft goals that make games so much harder for us to win, our forwards cant keep helping us out the sheite.

Are we thinking he'll get a rest today? :zzzzz!:

Opportunity for Boruc maybe - or go with getting him a wee bit momentum. He's looked more assured the last couple of games and his experience really told on Thursday.
