I'm not convinced that losing on Thursday will result in LJ's departure. The club have given him a lot of backing, which suggests they think he's in this for the long term.

Don’t disagree with any of that.

If we do go out then there is certainly a chance, I feel for the first time, that he could be sacked. If he isn’t then I believe he would have to win the next two games (Raith and Livi) to have any chance of staying in a job.

Here’s what’s been really pissing me off recently regarding LJ’s explanations for our poor form. He’s blamed the Thu/Sun schedule for being too much for the squad right now. What about the match in Andorra? First game and we looked like it was a pre-season friendly. What about St Mirren? All we’d had is a home tie the Thursday prior against the Andorrans. We were hardly pushed in that match.

If it was only Motherwell then fair enough. However we’ve had three **** performances and I don’t think the Thu/Sun excuse can be used for two of them.

Harsh to suggest that Marshall was at fault on Sunday. I know you don't say that explicitly but the undertone is there.

Was just making the point that at the moment he doesn’t save much - he’s not at fault for the goals but we need a keeper that saves shots they’re not expected to.

Should have commented on the push on Fish at the 2nd goal and whether or not VAR should have disallowed it.

It was a small push but the timing of it threw Fish off balance and the goal should not have been allowed. Blatant foul.

Agreed, was too clear from our end at the time but seeing it back I find it hard to believe the goal stood. Clearly gained an advantage by pushing him off balance, though why fish didn't protest at all is beyond me!

I didn’t think there was that much in it, to be honest.

I’m not an LJ fan, I’m tired of his chat about setting ‘a marker’ when we win a game that turns out to be anything but.

However, I suppose the question is: if he goes, where do we go next? Another rebuild, another transitional season as we wait for the new guy to get his players in before we can expect real progress?

I like the Gordon family ambitions for the club, I think I know what they want, but I don’t know if they know how to get there.

Is it just me or is Brian McDermott very quiet? Same as Steve Kean. I know these guys aren’t the manager or the face of the club, but they are relatively high profile names and you might expect to hear a bit more from him, to reassure us that there’s a plan.
