The move will be dependant on co-efficient score, so if we both go through, Hibs will have the higher co-efficient because Luzern has a higher one than Rosenberg. That is how the Andorran fixture was sorted out anyway.

Normal away end capacity is 3100 according to this: https://villaunderground.com/away-fans-guide-villa-park/

Not sure whether they have flexibility to segregate it differently and offer more.

Either way, will need a couple of big performances before we can worry about Villa Park allocation.

Villa fans will view a game against us the same way we see a team from Wales or Ireland so I doubt they'd sell out. Whether they'd be inclined to give us more then the required figure is another matter.

7.1 If there is a clash between two UEFA Europa Conference League home matches, one fixture is played as scheduled and the other is reversed. The fixture involving the team higher up on the following order of priority of UEFA Europa Conference League participants (among the two clashing teams) is not reversed:

a) Domestic champion club

b) UEFA Europa Conference League titleholder

c) Domestic cup winner

d) Next best-ranked team in their domestic league championship (N2, N3, N4, N5, etc.)

e) League cup winner (if applicable)

Can't actually find the rules this came from online but my mate sent me last week after we beat the Andorrans.

Where does the chat that Villa will take the Conference League lightly come from?

They’re never ever qualifying for the ‘Champions’ League these days, in fact they’ll be lucky to make the top 6 down there and qualify for the Europa. The Conference is as good as it’ll get for them Europe wise so I can’t see them treating it with any sort of contempt - look at how West Ham reacted to winning it last year. Quite the opposite

Why on earth would the board need to emphasise this to the manager? Do you honestly, for even a millisecond, genuinely, as in genuinely believe he needs this explained to him.?

I get that some people literally can’t stand the manager, but for goodness sake, don’t make a fool of yourself just because you may not like him.

Wind your neck in mate. Maybe think about some anger management classes.

Is that in the city centre? It's quite a distance from the ground, iirc.

The Holiday Inn Express Birmingham Star City is about half an hour walk from the ground. There's also a Premier Inn similar distance away.

It is, you can get the train to Aston or Witton stations which are no more than a 10/15 minute walk from the ground.

Cheers. I went there a few years ago but I couldn't remember how I got there.

I've booked Ibis for both dates, £49 & £41, both cancellable.

Yes, seems to be. Probably a fair few because of SJM. Unfortunately I'm old so it's because of Des Bremner.
Me too, Des lived round the corner from me when he played at E. R.

I'm due to a brummy uncle living round the corner always watching Villa when I went round. Poor guy supported Villa and Livi😂.

Ever since its been Hibs and Villa for me.

Hope we get through. I was at Villa Park back in 96 for the Scotland v Holland Euro game and I don't believe the stadium has changed much since then - a kind of more traditional football ground but one that generates a great atmosphere. I drove down and remember getting a little lost so had to stop and ask for directions - to this day I still have no idea what the bloke with the strong Brummie accent said to me. This will be a great day out (if it happens).

We’ve seen Hearts give Liverpool a tough game about 10 years ago and Aberdeen run Burnley close a few years ago.

Not sure why I’m saying this because I don’t believe we stand a chance if we were to get through to play Villa but it shows if you are resolute and organised you can make the tie difficult.

Is there a pathway used to place the qualifiers in the groups or won't we have any idea of who we will get in the group stage until the draw?

Draw won't be until all group stage teams are confirmed and we won't know anything, other than maybe what pot we're in, before Villa result.

I'll not do any speculative hotel and flight bookings just yet then :-)

Didn’t Stevenage knock them out of last years FA cup? I know this is two legs so makes the task harder but you never know what the football gods have in store!

I'd actually expect Villa to be in the hunt for a Champions League spot this coming season, under Emery they've played 27 and only lost 8. They are the real deal now, which is amazing to see.

Welcome Home SJM <3

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, just checking in case someone with contacts at the club had heard otherwise

I feel dirty for doing it but on the official Bus Shelter website the lot across the city say dates still to be confirmed and Uefa to clarify - so clear as mud :greengrin

If we get through let's not have SJM love in he plays for the opposition. Seen too many ex players getting applause etc only for them to do the dirty on us.

How are they doing the dirty on us?

They are paid by their employers to play for them.

Do you think ex Hibs players shouldn’t try against us?
