Just to shout out that Hibs fan, Cameron Adam, has won the top men's amateur golf event in Scotland.

He came through a 2 round qualifier at Dornoch and Tain, breaking both course records in the process, then progressed through 6 match play games to lift the trophy.

Robert McIntyre has lifted the trophy, as well as Stephen Gallacher and Colin Montgomerie. Cameron currently plays for Northwestern, the same Uni and coach that got Luke Donald to world number 1 and his first 4 Ryder Cups.

The sky is the limit for this young lad and I hope wee see him showing a major trophy off around ER in the future.

Well done Cameron, I think he beat a local lad from down here in the Borders in the semi, didn’t realise he was a hibby, I’ll let him off then!😂 Sounds like he’s got a promising future, it would be great to have another Scot break through into the top end of the pro ranks eventually.

He's here!

Bernard Gallacher and Raymond Russell are two golfing Hibbies from earlier eras who spring to mind.
