And unless we pay off or find buyers for a lot of our dross, it shows no sign of stopping. Henderson. Jair. Melkerson etc. We can't fully move forward with so much of our budget on players not even good enough as squad players. None of them will be cheap or particularly keen on moving for a wage cut either.

Years & years of squad mismanagement will take another while to correct. And that's not even mentioning the First 11 that still needs significant work.

We always are transitioning though. Players and managers come and go, there is no constant. Managers rarely survive a year/18 months. New guy comes in with new ideas. Transition happens. He gets emptied and it starts again.

Let's play a midfielder at RB.
Let's play long ball to Doidge when we are in a 433 formation with 2 wingers.
Lets play the same 3 midfielders that don't work together and haven't done so for years.
The players clearly don't listen to him. St Mirren had to change their entire game plan 5 minutes before kickoff and their players seemed to grasp it. Only need to look at their 2nd goal to see that. Our players don't have a clue.

All summer long , it’s obvious we haven’t signed the right players to sort out midfield.. Not sure what Johnson is thinking he is gonna get out that lot. Dylan levit isnt the answer in addressing the problems we have and the qualities we lack in there. Campbell isnt good enough on the ball , loses possession time and again. Doyle hayes is a willing tryer but bang average and not what we need. Only one to keep and improve on was Newall, and get him further forward last 3rd of last year proved that , but we sign levit and thats it. Powder puff midfield, lucky to finish top 6 with that lot as has already been proven those past two seasons, once scraping in , the other not making it.. We need to get the balance right in there before we go spending 700k plus on a striker . I actually thought le fondre and doidge looked good together, but everything long because our midfield lacks power creativity and drive.. Lost count the amount of times campbell should take the ball in , but cheaply loses possession.. Not good enough for Hibs if we want to be challenging for 3rd regularly

I dont know if im going over the top because of how angry and fresh things are , but I honestly think that first half is up there with as bad as ive seen know it’s early, but professionals who looked like they had never played the sport before

It was pitiful, but worth remembering we lost to a team of Andorran no hopers just 2 games ago where imo we looked worse.

We don’t have the players or the nous to play that 433 way that’s popular. The way I see it, it’s long ball “Wimbledon 80s” stuff where we bypass the midfield and scrap for second balls until we get fullbacks and midfielders in. Tbf it worked quite well for 15 minutes or so.

Yeah that’s exactly how i seen it. I thought le fondres movement and link up play with doidge when he came on was what turned the game for that spell in the 2nd half. Youan looked like he couldn’t be arsed , and possibly boylle tanked after Thursday.
