Does anyone know how much money we got from BBC Scotland for live coverage of last nights game?

Probably 2 and 6, rising to a full crown for scoring more than 5 goals.

If Brian McLaugh-in has anything to do with it, about £3 .10 shillings and sixpence!
Less tax.
Does the BBC not have to negotiate with UEFA to show live Euro games.?
Not a direct contract between Hibs and BBC Sport/Scotland
Rangers champions league qualifier is on bbc Scotland too next week.
Will we still have to subcribe to dearfragmentedsportschannel to watch it all?

On a separate note below is the money for losing out prior to the sections
First qualifying round elimination: €150,000
Second qualifying round elimination: €350,000
Third qualifying round elimination: €550,000
Play-off round elimination: €750,000
So guaranteed 550 but hopefully higher

Home teams sell the rights during the qualifiers
If the BBC were able to pay it I don’t imagine we were asking for much

Ok,If thats the case, i would imagine BBC approached us with a fee to cover the game live on a main channel, not just iplayer.
The "only game in town" last night, was it not, for BBC Scotland to consider showing.
Hibs would have weighed up that income v possibly more in attendance,if not televised live.
Cheers for that,though:greengrin
I didnt know qualifiers were "up for grabs" TV wise.

I imagine we might make a decent amount of money next week selling the rights to a Swiss broadcaster..
That’s often been quite lucrative in the past for Scottish clubs, albeit teams maybe in bigger markets than Switzerland, but there should be some money to be made.

Do you not get money for getting through the 2nd qualifying round? I was of the of the understanding that providing that we match Hearts games in Europe we would make more money than them due to an extra round we had to play?

Well we would due to Gate receipts, hospitality TV money etc for the extra game.

We get the extra in the event of us being knocked out, the further we go, the more we get

Just to clarify: Are club expenses covered separately or does the club have to cover them? I expect the trip would have cost Hibs £100k easy.
Also, if that is the compensation for going out, what is the fee for going through?
As someone has said, we could end up taking more revenue out of the tournament than Hearts. That would crack me up 😂.

The club pays its own costs.
And the only way we get more UEFA money than Hearts is by going further than them.

Stands to reason plus I couldn't care less about them, some folk on here just can't stop talking about them.

I was actually talking about that with someone. I think your better in the earlier rounds as you get gate money and tv money plus extra competitive games in pre season.

This is what our city neighbours got last season. £260k for going out in the Play off round, plus money for wins in the Group stages
The report also said it was £2m in costs for the play off and group stage football, so it looks like teams play all their travel costs

Yes. That’s what i mean. If hibs and hearts go out in the same round, we will take more revenue because we’ve had the BBC money and a good set of gate receipts from QF Round 2. Funny 😄.
