Team for 2nd Leg

Huge game tomorrow, and simply one that the team needs to perform in to rectify the disaster that was last week.

Some big decisions for LJ to make across the full team imo - goalie, defence, midfield and in attack.

Who do we think/what would we like to see?

Will he drop Marshall after last week? I don't think he will for this game, his experience over Wollacott might be favoured.

Suspect and hope that Fish will step straight into the starting lineup. No recent word on Obita's fitness, I'd like to see him start at left back if he is fit, but suspect Lewy will continue there tomorrow.

Newell has to start in the centre, we'll need his composure and leadership.

Does Boyle start? We may need to be careful what we wish for, the last thing we need is to rush him in, but ultimately he would provide a huge boost and would run rings around this team. My heart says start, but my head says to bring him on from the bench if needed.

Suspect he'll continue with ALF leading the line, I wouldn't mind seeing Doidge start myself to provide a bit more of a presence up top - it's a shame Vente won't be available.

Think this is what we will go with. I’d rather see Boyle start and make an impact giving us an opportunity to take him off later in the game if we are comfortable. He needs minutes ahead of the league season so it seems an easy decision to me.

Our keeper should be a bystander tomorrow.

Pretty much. Personally wouldn't start Boyle, see how the game pans out and bring him on if still chasing a goal at half time, let them tire out a bit first. Would start Alf instead. Also wonder if we need Jeggo holding in this game or whether get away with Campbell for more of a goal threat.

What isn't (or shouldn't be) difficult decisions - Wollacot and Fish come in for Marshall and Rocky. He'll play Marshall though

I would go with Doidge and AlF in the centre and Boyle and Youan on either wing to try and blow them away from the start. However I expect LJ to take a more conservative approach with Doidge and Boyle on the bench and will only be used if needed.

I think they will camp in their box and play on the counter. We are vulnerable if goals don't come quickly and the crowd begins to get nervous.

Campbell for Jeggo but that is a possible line up,might see Harbottle in for Miller though it would be a risk from a positional point of view, still it isn't Inter Milan we're playing against.

Don’t think we have any choice but to play Boyle. Can’t believe I’m typing Doidge’s name but think we’ll get more from him than Le Fondre. Marshall has to be dropped. Fish in for Rocky is a massive improvement and he’s also a threat from corners. I’d have Jeggo in to bring a bit organisation and to let everyone else just go and play.

I think ALF will be a good option when we have Boyle and Youan running the wings. He knows where to be, if we can get Youan to release the ball.

I still rate Stevenson, but I think they will sit in and Obita should be able to play very high. That should suit him more than Stevenson.
I think Levitt will be in our strongest team over the season but he doesn't look at it yet to me. The three in the middle know each other well and Levitt can gradually work his way in as he gets used to playing with his new team.

I'd play Youan on the right and only bring squirrel on if we need him. Youan was having their left back on toast by the end of the match last time and the bigger pitch will give him more room to use his pace. Having 4 in midfield with Campbell getting into the box as much as possible will give us control and add a further goal threat. If Obita is fit, he gives us plenty of pace down the left hand side and will get crosses in. I nearly picked Doidge, but we HAVE to get Alf up to speed. He IS a finisher and getting him a couple of goals in a meaningful match would be lovely ahead of the new boy coming in as first choice.

Maybe " kicking lumps " was the wrong choice of words though I do expect alot of cynical fouling and time wasting. If we go ahead early I can see them losing there composure and getting worse much the same way Santa coloma did when we played them from what I can remember of it .
