Was just in the clubstore and couldnt believe that the new home kit is priced at £57.50. That is outrageous. We arent a big 6 EPL club.

Thoughts?

I agree it's pretty scandalous, but if we were a big 6 EPL club it would likely cost north of 90 quid!!

Doesn't really fit within being a 'community club'. Espdcially during a cost of living crisis.

I should add too that it is £45 for infant kits.

It’s a lot of money although compared to the big clubs it’s quite cheap.

I’d also hazard a guess that football strips at Hibs have at best kept pace with inflation, they might even be slightly lower than inflation. I feel like tops were £35-£40 about 20 years ago so with that in mind we probably can’t grumble.

They should offer a discount for Season Tickets (if they don’t already!)

I just wait until they are 15 quid at end of a season and use them for my holidays.

50 to 70 quid is nuts.

The top has increased in price by only £2.50 from last year. With inflation sitting at well over 6%, that isnt a big increase.

My P&D windows away adidas kids top in 1987 was about £25 - that works out at nearly £90 in 2023.

Price increases will always be hard to take but its probably easier to accept they will happen every year :greengrin

We’re not a community club, we’re a business.

Whilst we are a business that wants to do well by its community, we also need to make as much money as possible, the pricing of the kit ties into that.

Just a wee heads up for anyone buying an infant kit, size down, I got my 5 year old a 4 year old top and it drowns her. No the best quality of material this time round either, nowt to it.

Its the going rate i'd say.

Times are hard for many but thats what we pay (or dont pay) for a replica shirt.

I live in Chesterfield the New Spirietes shirt is £49 and thats the 5th tier of English football

Sorry mate I'm being nosey but you live in Chesterfield? That's Derbyshire isn't it (not Lancashire which I thought it'd be lol).
