They’ve announced it so I’d presume not.

The club (and Hearts and Aberdeen) would have known he was available.
He was obviously deemed not good enough by any of the current Premiership teams, they'll have all the stats and data.

Decent in the playoff games for the team that finished 4th in the Championship. That's about all i know of him. Not saying he's a poor signing but Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen would have known his situation. Part of the team that blew a three goal lead against Ross County. Not sure he'd fill me with much confidence when some of us already knock the likes of Joe Newell.

Seen this guy quite a few times on the telly over the last couple of years and he has always stood out, could be a very good signing for Dundee. A sort of effective McKirdy :greengrin

Yeah, he's been the only one I've thought from watching the Friday night games that has looked like he might be worth a punt. A few good performances and consistent too.
Interesting that Dundee, promoted from that league, have gone out and made his signing an early priority.

We need to be going for far better players than him.
The acceptance of poor-mediocre players is why we keep having poor seasons. If we want to win a cup again, it's going to take good signings.

There's an element of risk to any signing though.
At least Tiffoney has a recent track record of having played well at the level he's been at.
Many of our better signings have been our less heralded ones, often our flops have been our big buys.
It's our insistence on packing our squad with players who may have been on the books at a decent club but who have never come within a sniff of first team football that bugs me.
There's also something to be said for doing business now, so players will be ready to start pre season with our squad, although I often hear that it's not possible for Hibs to do business until later, for some reason.

Guessing that if we were seriously interested in him, he would have signed for Aberdeen rather than Dundee.

Aye It did,Jim.
Strange, i was thinking on who owned it during its Tiffany's and Cinderella days. !
Like other dance halls in the city and a couple of picture houses at their demise, the common denominator was usually "destroyed by fire"
Say no more ! nudge! nudge! Where's that insurance policy?
I note the words on the link below "supper license" which was required to get a late bar in those days.
It usually consisted of what was termed "chicken in a basket" or for veggies "Onion in a basket "!
A rip off indeed, but got you extra bevvy time !
Tiffanys had some class acts, though. So did McGoos.

These places were responsible for some dire Hibs performances as well :greengrin

DP played Tiffanys not long after it became a hit single.

I was doing a general search on Tiffanys.
Its existence was my youth days and i came across that website.
Remarkable content the guys there have put in.
Some real memorable stuff/content.
You are correct, its a real find for those wishing to reminisce or research the good old days of Edinburgh dance halls/clubs and live music.
I saw a few of the bands mentioned
The free gigs, before they became famous or sneaking in :greengrin
Jimmy James and the Vagabonds played McGoos in the Canongate.
Their later hit "Now is the time" for me is us getting revenge on the hun for cheating us in 1979 final.
We set things right that day !!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ndG0lS7Ids
McGoos back then had a real core of Hibs and Celtic fans.
Soothsiders all !!
Some wild nights there. But a great place.
I mind a bus load from Glasgow came through for a gig (which was not uncommon)
Mayhem ensued in and out the club one night.
Just another Saturday
