We're visiting later this year and I could do with picking your brains about a few things, including how/where to watch Hibs games.
Anyone available to help?

Also interested in this, visited Perth a few times with work but always ended up watching the Hibs games on my laptop at the hotel. Although I did find a couple of decent sports bars. In terms of stuff to do:
Take a walk around King's Park and Botanic Garden - some great vantage points for panoramic photos of the city
Heirrison Island kangaroo sanctuary, walkable from the city (and free!) and you can get up close to them. I had the place to myself when I went, was great.
Take a train to Fremantle. Little Creatures brewery is worth a visit.
Take a ferry to Rottnest Island and cycle round it

Usually in The Irish Club in Subiaco if it’s a big game. Been a while since I lived there but some of my mates still go there

The market in Freo is small, but interesting. Good for touristy stuff too.
Also, if the Dockers Aussie rules teamare playing when you go watch that.

I think the season will have ended by the time we're there, sadly.

Nice suggestions. I'll try to do them all. Thanks.

Fremantle is a great day, we did the prison tour which was really interesting (particularly as one of the guys on the tour had been imprisoned there during the war for going AWOL from the the British Navy for running away with an aussie girl!).
Rotnest Island is another great day, beautiful place to cycle around (mind the Sharks).

If rescheduled for TV . I have watched some games at the Casino, however its usually on a small screen which I have managed a couple of times to get moved to a big screen but it depends what else is on at the time as there are only 3 big screens. Fly in the ointment for this its no longer part of Foxtel / Kayo and only on Bein Sports which they may not show. Some of the big games are put on at the Irish Club Subiaco. Apart from that you are limited to finding someone with a big tv who has Hibs TV :greengrin

Visited both Fremantle and Rotnest about 25 years ago both were great. We also took trips down to both Margaret River and Albany which were worth a visit also.

Am I right in thinking that a 3pm kick off at Easter Road will be equivalent to 11pm in Perth?

It could be... But depends on the time of year I think as the clocks don't change there.

Thing is that most of the games that get shown are the bigger games that are early kick offs here so they are on at a very nice time of 7:30 pm

Haha, Hibbys always welcome however I do live outside Perth in amongst the roos and the cockies :greengrin:greengrin
I do stream to a 75" TV though :thumbsup::thumbsup:
You are correct regarding the times of most games, since end of March the games are on at 10.00pm and then at the end of Oct it goes back to 11.00pm
Midweek games are always a killer, its either up for 3.45am or 4.45 am although that will be easier going forward as I will not have to get up for work next season
