Fish, Rocky and Porteous all played their best football with Hanlon alongside them. That's no coincidence. Going further back, season we were relegated our form defensively plummeted when Hanlon was out injured.

Sure he makes mistakes, all defenders do. Often it's because he's having to do too much on his own. Great player for Hibs and massively underrated by some of our support.

I can see Stevenson falling into the Darren McGregor roll with the development squad, playing and mentoring the youngsters. That would probably just lead nicely for Hanlon to take over that roll.
