He's a player. Celtic were doubling up on him second half, which with 10 men on the park is a huge compliment.

Right now he has far too much expected of him. With Boyle back and hopefully some more attacking threat from midfield, he could really kick on next season.

I was sceptical earlier in the season about paying a decent fee for him but now, I increasingly think we have a real talent.

I think you're right. I think he has it all, he just has to harness it and find that consistency. Can play through the middle or wide, has pace and an abundance of skill. And a cracking strike as well. When he's in the groove, I love watching him.

I think teams will test our resolve for him in the summer already.

9 goals and 7 assists with one game left, given he never really got going until November it’s very impressive.

3 of his goals against Celtic too which will heighten interest.

Genuinely think we could get as much as 2 million in the summer for him already - don’t want that to be the case as think he could go for double that

Just not convinced the kinks in his game will be ironed out to such a degree that we will make millions. But will be delighted to be proven wrong and I think he will continue to entertain and do damage at this level, making the 500k basically worth it

If he keeps playing at that level then we probably won't have him past January. He's improving week on week, his confidence is growing too. The celtic defenders didn't want to commit because every time they did he dropped his left shoulder and was past them on the outside. You can't teach that fast burst of pace. Boyle has it too so teams often double up, they will panic with a fit Boyle and Youan on each side

I don't think folk were wrong he grumble, he was mostly awful before Christmas. Games were passing him by, he wasn't working hard and he was getting pushed about. He has improved significantly.

For me Youan has benefitted from regular game time, he has all the attributes with his physicality and speed, By the time next season starts we will be capable of beating anyone with Youan on one wing and Boyle on the other.
