Seen a couple of things in the last wee bit about this meaning "see you when we're buried in Hawkhill". That's no right, surely?

Still say to my mates ‘ see you behind the goals ‘ even though we sit in the West

Harks back to The Cave in the 60’s and visits to Tiny back in the day

Never use Hawkhill

Would it not be the Eastern graveyard closer to Albion Road ?

I heard from older family members that 'see you at the back of the goals' referred to the more vocal fans back in the 50s used to congregate behind the goals 'doon the slope'. After the game they would say this meaning to see you next game.

I think ,like previously said,it just became a generic term for "see you at the game"

Old pal o mine from my Doocot days in the early 70s used to always used the term.
"See ye at the back of the goals"
Yet for years he stood half way up the old main terracing in line with the 18 yard box at the Albion Road end :greengrin
