Got some info from embra cooncil website:greengrin
There are 3 big concerts at Murrayfield end of May.
Beyonce, Harry Styles ,then Bruce Springsteen.
Styles on the 26th/27th, Springsteen 30th .
A number of roads in the Murrayfield area will be closed to traffic at those dates.
But as said,it should not affect our fans getting to Tynie.
How else will they get there from Roseburn area ?
Polis will not want fans mixing in large numbers on other routes to the ground.
Gonna be very busy with concert goers in the area, too

PS
If you live out my way and use buses, its absolutely murder getting back from the toon when Scotland or a big concert is on at Murrayfield.
Buses get diverted along with car traffic to minor routes heading west.
Takes an age just getting from Haymarket to Western Corner, via Ravelston, etc.
I know now why the proposal to have the Parliament at Donaldsons was binned.

Bit of NHC,looking for some local knowledge Three of us are going to Bruce Springsteen, and have booked a taxi to take us back to Dunbar. Suggested pickup is the Murrayfield Hotel. Taxi coming from Dunbar,is he going to get access. Any advice welcome.

If he can't get access tell him to pick you up on Murrayfield Road. Normally you can get up and round there if that stretch of Corstorphine Road is closed.

Worst case scenario if not you could walk 5 mins to Ravelston Dykes and get picked up there. Will be an absolute nightmare with traffic all around there though.

Personally I'd walk back into town and just get picked up somewhere like the East end of George Street, you will be heading that direction anyway and traffic will be a bit quieter.

You may need to arrange pick up location/s outside those roads/streets affected.
Walk from Murrayfield to Haymarket/Coates Crescent/Shandwick Place/Queensferry St area ,meet him around there .
And maybe work out a route home avoiding the city centre.Possibly over Dean Bridge through Stockbridge and am sure the driver will know from there. City Centre will be heaving /gridlock.
Am no driver, just an idea .Someone may help with route.
From Council Website ; Road closures in May

I’d avoid that area completely for the taxi. There are a whole load of closures round that way anyway for the cycle route they are building never mind the additional ones for the Murrayfield events

Meet him at the HolidayInn at the Zoo. Not too far a walk, he'll get there and you can have a post concert pint while you wait.

Speaking from experience as a taxi driver it is a nightmare when you get a call for Murrayfield. I have arranged to pick up at St Mary's Cathedral west end in the past go through the meadows Craigmillar Fort A1

Concert doesn't start to 7pm so by the time it's finished the toon is hardly going to be heaving. Walk to Haymarket train station & get picked up from there.

I’d suggest round at Wheatfield Road if you can leave the gig that side of Murray field.
easy walk through Sainsbury’s car park away from traffic & your taxi can head up Robertson avenue to slateford road /Lanark road onto bypass .
Google maps will show you what I mean

How will the toon not be heaving after the concert?
Where are the majority of the 67.000 concert goers heading ? Westerhailes?:greengrin
Haymarket and Waverley for trains home.
Rose Street and George Street and assorted hotel bars, pubs and clubs for a bevvy :greengrin

Very much the same scenario as after a Six Nation game .
Am sure things will work out with his taxi driver via phone on a pick up point :aok:

Will I be able to park on the road to the side of the Murrayfield Hotel? Murrayfield Road? Will be leaving straight after match and heading out to bypass.

Corstorphine is my neck of the woods, pub wise !
Anytime Rugby or a concert is on at Murrayfield the hotel is usually fully booked as will be the other pubs that have rooms.
White Lady and Toby/Harp do B&B . So Corstorphine will be very busy that day/night.

No Its closed!
Unless you are goin to tour the back/side streets of Murrayfield to get a parking spot !
Leave your car a bit further west along by Western Corner/Saughtonhall Drive ,where the restrictions end,and walk back to the game.
If your are able, its not too far !

Thanks Mick.

During these road closure the traffic diversions to avoid Murrayfield include using Ravelston Dykes then coming out at Ellersley Road back out to main road at Western Corner .
I guess you might find a spot in those back streets of Ravelston Dykes, if the cones are not there.
Or someones butler comes out and chases you !

You cannot park there, old chap !!
