Hi all, any chance of a wee sponsor or two for the Foundation.

Would appreciate a wee share on Socials if possible.
Nearly 50 so my stint on the pitch will take it's toll lol.

Thanks Guys and Gals

Can people still get involved in the match?

Yes - https://hiberniancf.org/product/the-ron-gordon-24-hour-football-challenge/

Really glad this is still going ahead, pity it can't be at ER but next best option. It will make a great 18th present for my daughter and I will just pay the 100 quid myself

I've signed up my daughter. She will be so excited and that will be the nearest any of my family will get to playing for Hibs

Great initiative. I've just signed up for me and my youngest son, hopefully we can raise a few bob. Here's a justgiving page if just set up. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/steven-clark22

I'm going to be photographing at least some of the games and I will be selling the photos after to try and raise more money for the cause.

I am pondering trying to do the 24 hours with suitable breaks but would only do it if I could be sponsored so more money could be raised. I'm not really a person that does sponsorship etc and when my kids have came back I tend to sponsor for the full amount to save hassling anyone. This is different though as it will be a hard slog sitting for 24 hours and I have fortunately nothing personally to gain apart from the knowledge I have helped the club and those it supports. Has anyone done anything similar that could offer some advice.

Why isn’t this at Easter Road?

Why isn’t this at Easter Road?

Imagine the state of the pitch after 24 hours of football

Why isn’t this at Easter Road?

New pitch maybe. Don't think it will have the same appeal being at East Mains. Had a quick look at numbers & they are extremely low.

Also not the easiest place to get on public transport.

It’s an interesting idea. I’ve not heard of a sponsored photo marathon before… this is both a negative and a positive for you, as people might struggle to get it or really embrace the idea!

Every other fundraising page listed here is on just giving so I’d use the same platform if you go for it. Explain your idea briefly, don’t be afraid to use humour, link to the event itself so people can see it’s legit. EEN or Scotsman might be interested, the club’s media team might want to help you… I think it’s a quirky idea that could get some coverage itself. Photographing for 24hrs non stop!

I think you will struggle to get sponsorship as everyone taking part has to pay £15 registration & are also expected to raise £100 in sponsorship.
In this climate that will not be easy.

Good luck anyway.

Thanks

I'll have a think about it, I'm there for the Foundation so they will be getting all the photos anyway and posting on their channels. As the other poster said it may just get lost in all the other sponsorship and fundraising. I might just do it for the hell of it

Cheers. I think you are probably right. I'll maybe try to do it anyways and see if I can contribute with image sales.
