View Full Version : NHC Lady Ann Farmer
I've not seen it mentioned elsewhere, but at the beginning of May our former owner Sir Tom lost his wife, may she rest in peace.

Read that in the EEN announcements today. Sad news for STF and their family.
I hope he is doing well. Now that a bit of time has passed it would be good to get him back to ER to show our appreciation. His departure was very low key, perhaps that's how he wanted it. I've no idea if he is able for that now but I believe he is still a fairly regular attendee at Mass in his local parish.

our club owes that family a huge debt.

Nice thought about a ER visit, like that idea.

We've a lot to thank Sir Tom for.
I'd like to think he would always be welcome at ER.
Very sorry to hear of his wife's passing. May she rest in peace.
Very sad news. Would be nice for this to be marked somehow at ER and again thank STF for the years he gave to our club.

The club are having a ‘friends remembered’ tribute on the screens for the last home game of the season. Would be nice to see her name on that list.

He is no longer a regular at St Kentigerns at Parkgrove. I suspect that is down to his health.

Aah that's a shame.
I was going to say I had spoken to Fr Jeremy recently and asked after STF and he had said he was still attending fairly frequently but I just realised that conversation was about 2 and a half years ago. Time flies.

Very sad news
If Sir Tom hadn’t intervened during the Mercer takeover attempt then who knows what state we would be in if we even had a team to support.
There was talk when he was leaving about the West Stand being renamed the Sir Tom Farmer Stand would be a fitting tribute to the Farmer families contribution to our club.

I was just thinking this, would be a nice memorial to a man without whom we, in all likelihood, wouldn’t be here

Very sad news.
And I always thought STF looked rather anxious or uneasy when being paraded at ER during his tenure.

How sad, RIP.
Can't help but feel the club should get its finger out and sort something out for STF before its too late.
