Caledonian Hotel (much cheapness) or The Griffin at the top of Botchergate.

No trains were going straight from edinburgh to carlisle
not sure if this has changed. ?

They're fine during the week but, Rail Replacement bus service at the weekend.

There's a Wetherspoons and a Lloyds within about 100 yards of each other at the top of Botchergate too, both got decent beer gardens.

The trains are a pain in the arse. Was going to go down for the play off second leg but bus replacement service is not my friend! The beehive is the most football pub as it’s next to Carlisle United ground. The caledonian is the cheapest boozer I have been in years but not pretty!
