So this isn’t for the likes of Marvin Bartley who are already showing promise at a lower level as a manager, this is for players who are still playing football at some level who you think could make a good manager for us once they hang up their boots.

For me the obvious one is Fraser Fyvie. In the Time For Heroes documentary where he wasn’t happy at the team being a bit chirpy at the prospect of the semi final, he showed focus. Decent on the field in terms of understanding and reading the game and has a character that if he were to go through his coaching badges would make a good head coach or manager.

I'd like to think that John McGinn would become a manager. He comes across as level headed and honest. He speaks well and usually not in clichés.

He's certainly got the gravitas to command initial respect from players and he's worked under a few decent managers.

Martin Boyle might have the personality to command a dressing room.

He also had to work to get to where he is, so can relate to players who weren’t nannied through elite academies.

He absolutely does, would feel safer with Lewis or Daz in charge though.
