Scored twice as his team won the Junior Cup Final in Northern Ireland.

Hopefully this link works, if not, just Google Dergview Res v Harryville Homers or copy and paste the link

Bit of a shame that the Harryville Homers didn't win it based purely on that fabulous name.

Magic! That first one was a wee bit Stokesy-in-the-cup-final-esque!

One of my all-time favourites. A cult hero obviously, but a better player than I think some gave him credit for. Great to see him playing into his 40s and signing off with a win. He'd be welcome in my fives team.

Brilliant stuff.

Wish Ivan every success after retirement and hopefully he’ll be a regular face at ER.

Just reading that he scored the winning penalty in the semi-final. And that his brother is the manager.

His signing for Hibs from semi-pro football is one of those rare fairytale moments when everything seems to click - he had both the determination and skill to make it happen. Also loved an interview after the hat-trick when he said he always dreamed of scoring a hat-trick at Ibrox.

Still got my signed Bristol City shirt somewhere!

A perfect example that someone who started life as a Rangers Fan can turn their life around and become a Hibee.

He's still a bairn compared to Miura. Miura was born in 1967. I think we'll start to see sportsmen and women going well into their 40s as the norm with modern training, recovery techniques etc.

Elgin City fielded the oldest player to have played in the SPFL yesterday. Steven Dunn, a keeper, came on during injury time. He’s 52.

Amazing. I love hearing stories like this. If you keep yourself in good nick and stay motivated it's possible. I'm far fitter at 40 than I was at 25.

One of my favourite Hibs players.

You could see he still had it when he played in the HanlonStevenson friendly match.

I'm actually surprised he was still playing. He didn't look that mobile at the legends game in November (though nobody did compared Gareth Evans TBF).

Brilliant for Ivan. Some nice words in that interview.

What an amazing career he's had, the stuff of dreams. Even his Northern Ireland debut seen them beat England 1-0.

We paid £5,000 for him!

If he'd really made something happen every time he got the ball, he wouldn't have been at Hibs long enough to become a legend.

He always made you think he could make something happen though, great player.

Half the time Ivan didn’t know what he was doing which made him so exciting to watch!

Lovely story. What a top guy and so humble. Always a legend in my eyes. That day at Ibrox will never be forgotten. First time I’d seen us win there in the flesh - and what a win it was. 🙌
