Just be wary of this but at the bottom of the email.

T&Cs: Offer valid for new UK customers only. One per household. After your free case, you’ll be subscribed as a member of Beer52 (£27/m for 8 beers, magazine, two snacks - - all items sold separately, contact us to configure your plan), pause or cancel anytime. 18+ only. See website for full T&Cs. Beer selection may vary. Promotion runs for 30 days. Please Drink Responsibly

I’ve heard stories of it being a nightmare to cancel, although some people have said it was no problem at all.

Just make sure to cancel once you get your beers so you’re not paying £27 a month.

Yeah, I doubled checked the email to check and it does say "There’s no minimum commitment, you can just take the free case, try the beers and see what you think. If it is not for you – you can pause/cancel anytime!"

Don't know if it's changed, but it used to be that you could only cancel over the phone. It wasn't a problem for me (other than the annoyance of having to call) – I got through straight away and they cancelled without any fuss – but some friends who used the same offer really struggled to get them to answer the phone. This was a few years back, don't know what it's like now.

Was a bit of a pain in the hoop to cancel. Guy was just doing his job mind you by trying to keep me signed up. Call took about 10 minutes of him throwing offers and account freezing my way.

The beers were grim for me though, if you like coffee beer or weird flavoured beer it'll be worth it.

Beware - it’s like the Hotel California.

They took my preferences and at the time I think either they couldn’t maintain them from order to order or you had to remember to state what you wanted - they then punt the unsellables at you - Citrus off the chart undrinkable or stouts. Check in with someone with more recent experience.

I’ve taken advantage of this deal twice, the second time was via a refer a friend deal that also included free delivery so was a no brainer. The 2nd box had some really nice beers in it from some established breweries- Tiny Rebel, ABK etc. It may be pot luck what you get though. As mentioned you do need to call a number and speak to an actual person to cancel though, which is a bit of a pain. Sure it was an Edinburgh number.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I wouldn’t bother signing up.

Better getting yourself down to the Fine Wine Company or Beer Zoo in Portobello and picking up a selection of Pilot beers.

The beers are ****.

Easy to cancel for me though.

In the interests of balance, when I’ve subscribed to them in the past, first time I didn’t realise it was a subscription, second time I did, I really enjoyed their beers. Found them to be quite unusual but kinds I’d never pick for myself, used to really enjoy it when I got home to realise I’d ‘forgotten’ to cancel again. They were overpriced though and I couldn’t justify paying what they were charging.

Found it easy to cancel although the *******s did keep offering me good deals that I found difficult to say no to in order to stay with them.

They are based in Edinburgh. I was on the verge of turning up at their door in town to get them to cancel when I was having issues cancelling. They eventually did answer though.

I enjoyed the beers. Eventually cancelled via email without any problem: Just email [email protected] if you want to stop your subscription.

Got this last week. The cans didn’t last too long but decent wee offer.

I believe they also do a Wine52 with a similar sign up deal.

Can never be ar5ed to sign up for free stuff like this. Companies are hoping you forget to cancel and deliberately make it difficult to do so.

Not giving them the satisfaction

It's quite easy to cancel, just takes a quick phonecall. I was more dissapointed that they seem to change the beer from what they said they were going to be sending out to what you got.

Can’t drink craft beers so would be wasted on me, guaranteed I’d forget to cancel. Reminds me off the Britannia music offer back in the day, got lumbered with numerous unwanted CDs back in the day as I never got round to sending them back🙈

Just an update, cancelled in five minutes over the phone. I just told the bloke at the start he’d be wasting his time trying to give me offers as I wasn’t interested.

Had a couple so far and they were OK but I wouldn’t buy them in a shop/pub.
