Delighted for him and the management team.

He shut a lot of people up today with that win. Loads of folk questioned the line up but he got it spot on - well done.

Fair play, he got a performance out of the lads today. If Youan had a bit more composure, we would have won at a canter. Need to show that level of intensity every week, though.

Why not? Plenty new ones get started when we lose!

Johnson living it up in Elio's right now. If I see him I'll buy him a pint or 2. Lager or cider, different drinks for different needs.

I've watched maybe one of his interviews since he's come here because I found everything about him nippy. Met him today in the Albion bar and he was sound as ****

The Messiah. He's the next Alex Ferguson or Pepe.

Or maybe he beat an absolutely brutal Hearts team 1-0 after losing the last two 3-0.

Was pretty much the same Hearts team personnel wise from the last Derby at ER.

Ach let him have his moment.

There's been more than enough opportunity to have a pop in recent weeks. He had the team up for it today which is more than can be said for his opposite number.

Have to admit I was very critical of the team that was put out. Manager live and die by these decisions. If we had lost today I think the pressure would have mounted and he'd have been lucky to see the season out. Now that we've won we need to kick on against saints and after the split.

Small margins. We were clearly the better team today but their last minute freekick hits the back of the net what mood on here tonight?

There will be times for a critique but we still gave the ball away alot simply especially in the first half. Still lots to work on. Im enjoying a nice drink on the train home! Well done lads.

A win against St Johnstone will see him safe but a loss will be ‘curtains’.

Taken a lot of stick and rightly so.

Today he gets cut some slack for a job well done.

Picked a team that many questioned and had the team fired up from the get go. Been a while since I've seen that much fight and effort from a Hibs team in a derby irrespective of how Hearts are playing and the quality of either side. Do that again next week and we shouldn't have much too worry about against St Johnstone.

It would have been a sickener but we really should have had more than one goal by then.

The manager can’t do much about our finishing today imo.

The manager’s responsibility is to set us up correctly, motivate the team to play with spirit and intelligence, and then make the necessary adjustments to see the game through.

Hearts probably had their best spell before halftime - early in the 2nd half we reasserted ourselves, which suggests the half time dressing room chat was spot on.

He did everything that could reasonably be expected of him today.

If he can find a way to negate his losing streaks so they’re shorter or not so frequent and his position becomes a lot more stable.

As it is, hope he’s got a nice cold one open and enjoys his night, that was an impressive reaction today.
