No idea if this guy frequents the board but I met a Hibs fan on the train back to Hamburg last week from Bremen. He was a Bremen and Hibs season ticket holder, if that’s you can you drop me a pm!

Or if you know who he is could you put me in touch?

Is he a German guy? How many Hibs games does he attend from there? He must have deep pockets; one season ticket in Germany and another in Scotland! Perhaps he has a fetish for green and also has a season ticket at St Etienne. :greengrin

Haha nah he was from Musselburgh and drinks in the Persevere. That’s all the info I have as I was 10 pints deep.

He might well have a season at St Ettiene, the memories are hazy.

Edit: someone must know him as there can’t be many dual Hibs/Werder fans.

He’s a mate of mine and as you say he is a season ticket at both clubs. I have screen shot the thread and forwarded it on to him. He is on here as well so will probably be in touch.

There was one guy on here called HiBremian that (obviously from the username) supported both teams but I believe there's a few Hibbies in Germany that have an affinity to Werder Bremen, due to the team colours.

How often does he see Werder play?

Had neighbours in my old flat on Salamander Place who had a Bremen door matt and frequently used to see them both in the Percy before hibs game, presumably going to ER.

Think the woman was German and bloke was Scottish - could be them?

He probably goes to maybe 15 or 16 of the 17 home games. Before he had his season he probably seen half the home games as a member. He even went last season when they were in Bundeslegia 2.

It must cost a fortune to watch two teams like that. Then there's all that travelling to Germany and back every couple of weeks. Fair play to him, he's gone all in. It isn't just a casual affection for Werder, he's a fanatic.

Born a Hibs fan, moved to Bremen way back, but no way can I afford 2 season tickets, so mostly HibsTV and the odd Werder match.

There’s definitely a bit of a connection. I’ve met other hibs fans when in the city as well as Germans with a liking for Hibs.

I think they suffer fairy similar plights to us too!

God help them. Yet that guy pays and travels to watch both. He must be made of tough stuff :greengrin

Taking the thread in a different direction picked up a guy from Norway from the airport a few times in the taxi who was a season ticket holder, he would travel over for most home games. He said the 2016 cup final was the best day of his life. He knew his stuff about the club
