I’ve been watching football for a very long time but I don’t think I’ve ever seen us losing a game to two direct free kicks and a penalty. Anyone else?

Nothing comes to mind although yesterday I had a horrible wee reminder about Simon Brown's 2 clangers from Charlie Adam free kicks. But that game ended 2-0 to the huns.

Presuming it was my post on the Murray Johnson thread that reminded you, if so… sorry[emoji23]

Unrelated, but when was the last time Hibs scored a direct free kick?

Nisbet in lockdown season? Can't remember the game but sure he scored one.
Edit: he definitely scored one away to Stranraer in the Cup.

Can mind the whole east chanting " charlie, charlie, show us yer teeth" that day.
Was there a game in the 90s when Jorg Albertz scored two thunderbolt free kicks against us and Laudrup missed a retaken penalty? Or am I conflating two separate games into one?

I’ve been watching football for a wee while but I don’t think I’ve ever seen us losing a game 3-1 at home to Motherwell with the opposition goals coming in the 7th, 54th and 81st minutes. Anyone else?

I doubt there are many games with that exact combination of factors so that’s unsurprising.

They were shockers. Show me a side Simon and I’ll put it there. Twice.

I remember Jorg Albertz scoring a few thunderbolts down the slope against us when we went on from 3-1 up to lose 4-3 the year we were relegated.
We won the game with the retaken penalty which (I think) was the year before.
