Seems his family are settled in Edinburgh and he loves playing for Hibs and didn't want to join Forrest green. Looked a really good player when he first signed maybe his form dipped abit at one stage ( if that's fair to say ) . Thought he had a excellent game against Celtic after been out so long with his injury. Could he be a important player for us for the last 9 games ? .

Will be interesting to see if he starts today . One thing I wonder about is why did we accept the bid from forrest green if LJ wanted him to stay in the first place ? .l like him too , he's definitely got ability and a good attitude as well !

After a good outing at Parkhead it wasn't unreasonable for him to start but today was another one you file under the "too slow, too many sideways passes and too ineffective" JDH games. So frustrating...

Don’t see what he brings to the team and more often than not we seem to play worse when he plays.

He’s one of these players that probably has decent stats but when you watch him in a game he does nothing decent to progress the play.
He hides when the centre half’s are looking for an outball. When he gets the ball more often than not he passes it back to a defender.
Not got the bottle to make it at this level. Brings the team down a level when he plays.
Get rid.

He’s useless. Does nothing positive , ever. Can’t wait for the day he leaves.
Unseen work

He’s a better sub imo.
He comes on with a real intensity, demands the ball and progresses the play.
Today he looked miles off the place, no intensity or will to get on the ball.

A hibs team of the quality we want and need doesn't feature JDH.

I’ve genuinely never seen him play with any sort of intensity or purpose ever. Apart from the one time his only goals he’s scored for hibs was when all his mates showed up to watch him over from Ireland. Not sure he’s even had a shot at goal since, or ever got himself in a position to contribute to a goal.
He's another bang average player who's got comfortable with a contract that's too big and a very decent wage too boot, still need a clearout of 6-7 players in this squad.

I keep deluding myself there is a player in him but he was absolutely awful today and there are too many days like that.
The much maligned Newell came on today and really drove us on until the killer 3rd goal. JDH can't and won't ever be able to do that.

Useful for games against the old firm maybe, against Motherwell at home? No way.

The midfield has been much improved in his absence,he comes back and it becomes non existent again.
I’m not sure what he’s done in a Hibs jersey that warrants him waltzing back into the starting 11 after a lengthy injury

The epitome of a Jack Ross player. Coached to within an inch of his life. Absolutely zero adventure.
Was delighted when the bid came in for him in Jan,as the long contract he was given was ridiculous.

I like Doyle Hayes but there can be no hiding from the fact that whilst he’s capable of putting in an individual performance as part of a team performance as effective as the Parkhead one, he’s equally adept at putting in a quiet performance in a minging team performance just like today.
Hugely frustrating and inconsistent player who will probably dodge a lot of criticism due to so many players being equally poor today.

Hope that’s the last we see of him.
Infuriating how often he wants to turn back or sideways. A yellow card is all he can be relied upon for

Is a yellow card every 3 or 4 games really all that incredible for a midfielder?

Thought his performance today was a horrible reminder of how bad last season was .. Thought before the game that the team selection today looked pretty bad on paper , it was actually worse ..

Yeah I suppose you are correct was 12:44 last season now 3:13 this season
Lost count of the amount of times he is booked early doors for stupid tackles then has to be replaced before he is sent off
No discipline self control or game intelligence and no good to us sitting in the Stand ……wait a minute
Edit
Josh Campbell booked 13:69

Thought he deserved to keep his place after the Celtic game so no complaints with his selection.
Hopefully the last time we see him start in a Hibs jersey and we can move him on in the summer. Shows the odd flash of ability but another, IMO, that lacks the real heart or desire to be a good player. Is contract extension so early in his time here must be one of the most baffling decisions we’ve made over the years.

I regretted us signing him until I read this. Now totally worth it.
