So many other games I would love to see footage of as well.

Hibernian 2 - 1 Valencia - 1962-63 Fairs Cup
Hibernian 2 - 0 Valencia - 1965-66 Fairs Cup
Hibernian 3 - 0 Porto - 1967-68 Fairs Cup
Hibernian 5 - 1 Napoli - 1967-68 Fairs Cup
Hibernian 1 - 1 Leeds United - 1967-68 Fairs Cup
Hibernian 6 - 1 Sporting Lisbon - 1972-73 Cup Winners Cup
Hibernian 0 - 0 Leeds United - 1973-74 UEFA Cup
Leeds United 0 - 0 Hibernian - 1973-74 UEFA Cup
Hibernian 1 - 0 Liverpool - 1975-76 UEFA Cup

It would be great to even see footage from some of those old European ties we lost. At least we could experience watching Hibernian on a big stage back in the days when winning the competition was a possibility.

Hibs v Napoli was covered by STV but I believe that the tape was lost or taped over by STV.
There was no cameras at the sporting game.
The first leg of 73 74 game against Leeds was covered by the BBC but I don't think there was any cameras allowed at the second leg

Did either of you travel to any of the away ties? If so, I think everyone on Hibs.net would love to hear about your experiences. I know my late father travelled to Anfield and Elland Road.

Was there as well. Some talent on the pitch that day on both sides.
Funny how there was no players rolling around in agony after a tackle and no badgering the ref. The good auld days.

Great strike from Wee Jimmy and vintage Arthur putting on the after burners for the fifth

Celtic fans employed their usual tactics of trying to get the game abandoned at 3-0 by invading the pitch IIRC

Nice try :greengrin

Was at both of them. Sat next to a nephew of bill shankley at a field. Bus strike in Leeds so the home crowd was smaller than usual. Hibs end was packed.

Were the schools not on a two day week due to the teachers strike so a lot more youngsters travelled.

It was October mid term which meant an 11 year old me travelled to the game on the Bonnyrigg Supporters bus.

Sonny Swinton who operated the bus decided it was a good idea to supply a bus with a new engine which needed to be run in!!! A 09:30am departure from Bonnyrigg saw us narrowly avoid missing the kick off at Elland Road! 10 hours to get to Leeds!

Aah the memories
