Can anybody help me on this I keep getting this message when I try to
connect to Hibs.net on my laptop it is doing my nut!!!

I've been getting the same thing for several weeks. On various computers, smartphones, on every internet access and all sorts of WiFi. I contacted Admin and they suggested pretty much what I'd tried, or clearing cookies. But the latter just means I have to re-enter all my passwords, and my banking account pretends it doesn't know me.
Yesterday afternoon I found an old computer and gave it a try...bingo. No idea why this one is working where everything doesn't
Are you getting the 2 green check marks(with the second one indicating that everything in Cloudflare in Newark(???) is OK, but the third one is an error from the Host?(www.hibs.net (http://www.hibs.net))

Can't really help i'm afraid, but you're not the only one suffering. Are you in North America?

yes I am getting these messages however I am in Edinburgh!

This only started recently I had no problem connecting previously
on the same computer. That’s why I thought this must be a fairly new problem

The message states quite clearly the problem is with the host - Hibs.net

yip got this myself when out yesterday afternoon, obviously tried other sites etc and all were fine

26628

i'll just add yesterday was the first time i've tried to look at .net for several months whilst out, so possibly could be something to do with clearing cookies as others have said

Been having this problem for a few months on my smartphone using Google chrome, there was a post not to long about it also and now I use the Samsung default web browser and it works fine.

Just don't look as nice as viewing on chrome.

This was admins response to my email:

====================
Sorry you are having issues, we have been having some problems with our server.

Some users have said that clearing cookies or using a different browser has solved the problem for them.

Thanks

I had this problem for 5 days on my laptop last week, had almost resigned myself to not getting back on the site but it just cleared itself and has been okay since! Strange.

You should be able to clear just hibs.net cookies, eg. in chrome go to Settings->Privacy&Security->Cookies&OtherSiteData and type "hibs.net" into the search box. Then clear anything it finds.

Well you had me hoping there for a minute, but no luck i'm afraid.
Although----where exactly is the search box? I allowed all cookies, and it did get me into the site, but as soon as I tried to log-in, boom.....same damn page again

I’m on a mac so it might be different, try the instructions above, look for “delete specific cookies”.

Glad someone highlighted this! Plenty will be glad to know that this is why I have been AWOL, I can't access via Chrome but can on Edge (which I never use).

I also can't access on my phone as it's says it's the wrong password even though i'm 100% putting in the correct password, that's been like that since the day I joined.

Aiui, it's not one browser or another that's the problem. It's the build up of cookies you get from long term browsing on hibs.net that eventually causes issues with hibs.net's hosting provider. Switching to a different browser means you're starting from scratch in cookie accumulation.

All browsers will have a way to nuke cookies from all sites, but you may lose a lot of stored passwords etc.

A lot of browsers have a way to nuke cookies from an individual site, which is the best way out of this problem. See instructions for Chrome above.

Trying deleting cookies related to hibs.net as mentioned above. To do this in Edge:

Paste this into the address bar and hit enter: edge://settings/siteData
Use the 'Search cookies' box to search for 'hibs.net'
Click on the bin icon to delete cookies associated with hibs.net

You'll be logged out of hibs.net, but doing it this way (rather than deleting all cookies) means you won't be logged out of other sites.

I have been having this hassle for about a fortnight - cant access hibs net via my Mac but no problems with my phone - all other sites were fine on my MAC - so followed this advice via my Safari Browser - went to Settings then Privacy then Cookies and Web site data - then Manage Web site data - chose Hibs net and Remove data - and its accessible again - here's hoping it doesn't recur

I dont think it was anything to do with Chrome specifically, I was getting it on Firefox (Mozilla). It dissappeared for no reason and everything was fine then a week later it appeared again and then disappeared again. Weird. I cleared my cache etc and it didn't make the slightest difference.

Having the same. Been going on before Xmas, then it sorts itself out for a while then back again.

I use Chrome on my phone.

Downloaded tapatalk to get on but honestly think it's *****.

I had the same problem last year, clearing all my cookies fixed the problem, but beware, you need to go into settings after clearing and allow cookies to be retained or you will have to log into accounts every time!!!
