Exactly when does it become time for supporters in this country to take a stand against being treated as an afterthought to TV?
Notwithstanding what Hibs have just done to our own supporters in pursuit of a quick buck, the whole SKY / BBC and other broadcasters thing is long past needing addressed.
Not for the first time ICT fans are being asked to travel from Inverness to Glasgow for a 12:15 kick off and being charged £38 for a north or south stand ticket at Hampden for the privilege. How can anybody look at that and claim any consideration whatsoever has been given to these fans?
I simply don't subscribe to the 'that's how it is now' brigade ..... If that's how it is it's because match going fans in this country have failed to organise a proper and coordinated protest against being run from pillar to post for the sake of TV schedules.
In 2018 Bundesliga fans stopped Monday night football in it's tracks by simply refusing to attend Monday night matches. We live in a country where clubs rely on income through the gate far more than they do in the likes of Germany ... season ticket sales and walk ups form more than 50% of the income of practically every club.
As a match going Hibs fan of near on 45 years who has probably missed about 5 games at Easter Road, including friendlies, in the last 30 odd years and two of our games at Hampden in that 45 years my commitment to not missing a Hibs game if I can help it isn't open to question. But now even I can say with absolute certainty that if there was a call for a meaningful boycott of certain games that I was sure would be supported by the majority of fans I am so pissed off with this that I would 100% support it. I would hate to do it .... but even my loyalty to Hibs and Scottish football can only be taken for granted for so long ...... enough is enough so far as I'm concerned.

Would 100% support this as well. These things never gain support here though. Folk just don't care enough.

Lunchtime kick offs are a BAD joke - even without a 5 hour(?) journey either side of the game as per ICT fans. They are piss poor even from an armchair fan's perspective - never mind away supporters!

I suspect most ‘fans’ go along with everything for fear of their club failing and going out of business. However you are correct in saying enough is enough.
Supporters buy season tickets for the club,
Fans turn up and pay the ticket price
People in different situations want to watch the game.
It’s a hard call but I do, personally, believe Season Ticket holders are being given a raw deal. Only my opinion though.

Aside from horribly scheduled cup tie fixtures, it's beyond a joke the amount of league games that are rescheduled so they aren't at 3pm on a Saturday.
That ICT game being a 12:15 kick off in Glasgow is ludicrous for any of their fans.

So we want a league with no Rangers or Celtic with all games kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday with no TV?
Probably easier taking up golf or something instead as this is never going to happen, huge fan protest or not.
Sorry for pissing on your chips!
Edit - get ourselves relegated and all our dreams come true!

If we got relegated we'd be near constants in the Friday night BBC Scotland slot🤣

Try supporting arsenal or Man City - just about count on one hand the amount of Saturday 3pm games you attend.
It kind of is the way it is now..

Fans who attend games have been told for 3 decades now they are of lesser importance than people who don't. It's no surprise a sizeable number believe it, subconsciously or otherwise.
The TV deal is like a demi God. Biggest game of the season moved to accomodate it? Yes, oh master. Aberdeen game kicking off in Glasgow 30 minutes before the 1st train arrives? Yes, oh master.
The worst part is there is **** all we can do about it because the TV revenue is at least as important to the people who run the clubs as those of us who buys STs are. They treat us like customers, we behave like supporters. Any boycott or protest would never gain traction because we are customers with a brand loyalty other businesses can only dream of. Fine well the club boards and those who run the league know it as well so they treat us accordingly.

The reason the TV deal is of such high importance is because without it there is a very real chance clubs up here would either go to the wall or accept becoming like the Welsh or Irish clubs.
It's a trickle down effect from the vast amounts of money given to the major leagues in Europe, one right on our doorstep.
We can't compete as it is and would have even less chance without a TV deal.
I don't like it anymore than you do but the alternative isn't great.

I think that’s pretty much what PB is saying. You’re right and we don’t have much choice but to accept things the way they are.

Nobody is saying that. It's not games being moved, it's when they are moved to ..... in what world is it fair to ask people to get from Inverness to Glasgow for 12:15?
Folk spend all week getting up at 7am or earlier to get to work, what's actually wrong with having a kick off time that means they can have a more relaxing weekend?
Folk realise TV money is important, but so are the folk who pay to attend the games and as far as I can see the balance that should exist between the two is massively tipped against the fans.

I do understand that a few pints before a big game is part of the experience we're used to, but surely we can still have a relaxing weekend despite the kick off being at 12.30?
On the plus side, we'll have an extra 2.5 hours to celebrate!
