What an odd comment on a sympathy thread. It's mentioned to help inform his fellow supporters of the tragedy (how many of us these days just skim the headlines for stories we might want to read more about), and as a consequence it will undoubtedly boost the level of sympathy and consoling words that his parents and family will receive. And despite being our closest rivals, I'd hope that most Hibs fans would express their sympathy too, to someone who first and foremost was a football playing supporter from Edinburgh lost in such tragic circumstances.
