Appointed as new chairman (non exec). Kit and Ian Gordon joing the board and Kathrin Hamilton as Vice Chairman.

A steady pair of hands with bags of experience. Good move imo.

Unreal to think it’s over 20 years since he was chairman. Was the first chairman I really remember at Hibs

Can anyone tell me the difference between exec and non exec chairman? I’d never heard of it until Ron took over.

Exec chairs tend to be involved in the running (the "execution") of the business. Non-execs are more likely on the Board for their external view of the business.

Ron was executive chair, as he ran the business. Malcolm is non-exec.

In his summing up this evening he said Ron Gordon was the best thing that has happened to the club in his experience.

Given that the walls of the Albion Bar are decorated with pictures of his personal collection of programmes, going back to the early sixties, that is quite an accolade to RG and his all too short tenure. The overriding theme though is that the family are determined to realise Ron’s dream.

Edit: Just been corrected on the programmes front. Not Malcolm
McPherson’s collection but Stephen Dunn’s. Apologies to SD fir that. Quite a collection
