Looking for some thoughts here.
I'll be going to the Rangers game next week straight from work. I'll have a bag with me.... laptop size, but with only a folder and some papers inside.
Will I be allowed to take it in?
If not, are there any options for luggage storage in the centre of town that aren't stupidly expensive, like the station?

Hotel receptions will usually watch stuff for you for free. Le monde on George Street have for me a couple of times.

I expect they'll very casually search it and let you in with it.
Unless you're in the smoke bomb vending business and your "folder" is full of working examples of your fare then I expect you'll be fine.

You'll be fine. They'll search it, but people takes bags in all the time for different reasons and I've never seen it be an issue.

There was a message from the club start of last season I think where they said no bags allowed. Silly rule if you ask me.
That being said, I see people going in with bags almost every week now and like others have said it's just a quick search and in you go. You'll be fine to bring it.

I take a bag every week with my daughter's medication in it. Rarely even get checked and never been refused. You'll be fine.

I always have a bag. They will have a quick look and you will be fine, with your crocodile skin Louis Vuitton in neon pink.

If you get refused (which you won't from experience) speak to one of the club officials with the hi vis on, they are very helpful. I'm guessing they will direct you to the shop or reception with it until after the game

Woman that sits in front of me was at the Kilmarnock game with a medium sized overnight bag.
Didn’t seem to have any problem in getting in with it.

There's a woman who practically brings a picnic for her two grandkids in front of me. Lays a blanket on the stairs to the side of her seat for the kids to sit on whilst they chug fruit shots and eat sweeties.
A laptop bag will not be a problem!

As long as you have fireworks and pyros in it and a contraption to blast them into the sky you'll be fine.

And did she stay the night at the stadium?

Thanks all. You've put my mind at rest.
Weird that I've never had to think of this before..... and not even noticed whether others have bags :greengrin

My 12 year old got searched going into ffl before the Kilmarnock game. I was right behind him and boy never said a word to me

I always find it quite funny on the odd occasion my daughters bag does get searched.
It's a small rucksack and there is usually hat, gloves and some sweets in it. Her medication (epi-pen, 2 inhalers and anti histamines in a glass bottle!) is in another toiletry bag inside the main bag and they never bother looking inside that. My advice to anyone looking to sneak anything dodgy into the game would be just put the bag with the contraband inside another bag and you'll be waved through no bother.

I remember seeing Maude being frisked at Ibrox when she was well into her 80s.
