How thoughtful and kind of the family to take the time to issue this statement at such a difficult time. Absolute class. RIP Ron

Totally agree. Although a lot of talk about what happened at Hampden got to be said the minutes silence at Tynecastle yesterday with both teams with specially made tee shirts for Ron was very moving particularly when Hibs fans had a thank you Ron sign. Rip Ron

Unbelievable. Didn't need to find the time to release something. The photo and the words made me emotional

It is quite incredible, I think, that in their grief they've taken the time to issue a Statement to ease our concerns about the club and the future. Superb effort from them and it has certainly helped reassure me that we are in goods hands with the Gordons.
I must admit though it makes me even more annoyed about the Sevco bigots yesterday

Classy statement from the Gordon family in what must be an incredibly difficult time for them. Let's all unite and work together to realise Ron's aims.

Very classy statement from the Gordon family that. Hopefully they do continue to work to achieve Ron's dream of really driving our club forward, it's clearly what he would have wanted and why he was so passionate about our club, the community of Leith and Edinburgh as a whole.

Really emotional to see the family all together like that and what a lovely family they look as well. No surprise there as Ron was such a lovely guy too. He will be sorely missed. A very nice statement from the family at this tremendously difficult and sad time for them.

Absolutely superb statement.

Says something too about the family who took the time to reassure us, the supporters, when they themselves are grieving for Ron.

A class act that I am sure will be appreciated by every one of us

Delighted Ron chose Hibs and delighted the family feel the same way about Hibs as we do. Amazing of them to post that during this terrible time for them.

So sad to see Ron smiling away in these pictures - what a loss for Hibs and his poor family.

Something very sad about reading their words, and equally uplifting to hear how they’ve been touched by the reaction of everyone connected to Hibs, and beyond in many cases

What an absolutely classy statement. To put it out at such a time when the whole family will be in mourning is deserving of the utmost respect.

Their determination to take forward Ron's vision and ambitions for the club seems clear, this isn't just a mission to make a football club successful any more, it's a mission to create the legacy Ron wanted to create and a bigger tribute to him you couldn't get. I for one feel a whole lot better about the future of the club after reading that.

In the most tragic circumstances possible it seems owners and fans have been brought together ... long may that state of affairs continue
