Waiting for a delivery from them, photographed delivered went out to get it and not there. Half an hour between delivery and me trying to retrieve it.

Gone. We have no passing traffic/pedestrians, we live on a farm. So frustrating. What should I do ?

I recently took a parcel from Evri, never checked the address label, just assumed my Daughter had ordered something. Turned out my daughter hadn't ordered it so I checked the label (tbf to the courier the house number was hard to read), so delivered to us in error. I took the parcel to the house a few doors up, they had a similar door to mine. They couldn't work out what had happened as they had a photo showing delivery until I turned up and explained what had happened. Could it be sitting outside someone elses house relatively close to you?

Good reply but no, we have no neighbours.

Have you looked at any potential hiding places?

They may have photographed it there then popped it somewhere they deemed safe - storage bin, under the car, etc.

I thought maybe the next closest farm? Other than that I have to say their customer service team are chronic. They don't even try to find out what went wrong just punt you back to the retailer to sort the refund.

Thanks for the replies. Tried all hiding places too . I feel doubly let down as it was a gift for my wife that I had told her had been delivered. Evri even took a photo of it on my doorstep before it ' disappeared '.

Evri are a shambles.

I ordered a school tie for my daughter from M&S, marked as dispatched by them, 4 days later nothing has arrived, on the 5th day I contacted M&S who told me it had been delivered and sent me a proof of delivery. The POD was clearly not my house. I asked a few neighbours but none of them had seen it and I doubt the tie was of any use to them so trusted they hadn't nicked it. I report to Evri that the parcel hasn't been delivered and I get an automated response saying they will investigate. A few days later a guy pitches up at my house with my parcel, he lives 3 streets away and his address is nothing like mine. Now the driver has made a mistake, these things happen and as a lot of the houses near me are new builds the GPS/Google maps can sometimes be a bit off. What hacked me off is 2 full weeks later I get an email from Evri telling me they have 'thoroughly investigated' and my parcel was 'delivered to the correct recipient address and the matter is now closed'.

No real help to you but I'd suggest your parcel is almost certainly with someone else. Maybe worth asking the nearest houses to you.

Hopefully whoever has received the parcel realises the error and your address details are correct on the label, then brings it to you. You'll get the odd chancer who keeps hold of stuff they've received in error but I think most people like to put theirselves in others shoes and do the right thing. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I had a Yodel driver dump my delivery at a random door, whilst giving me some other persons parcel. Ran out and managed to catch him. Looked confused as ****.

Went with him to get my parcel from the wrong address, who he’d also given a further two incorrect parcels for.

Ended up helping with those two incorrect parcels to the correct addresses where they’re more incorrect parcels sitting at the doors.

Spent the best part of 45 minutes that night as Yodel driver.

Actually ended up feeling really sorry for him. He was so confused as to how he’d ****ed up so badly.

I had something delivered by Evri. It was from Uniqlo and for whatever reason Uniqlo hadn’t put my house number on the label. The photo showed a parcel, where you could see that their was no house number sitting outside another door:

Got Uniqlo to send it and went through the same thing FOUR more times, always at a different door until I recognised the door and went and got it. This issue was obviously Uniqlos rather than Evri’s but good to see the every driver just decided to take a punt every time rather than return it to sender. There’s only about 80 flats on my street so he had about a 1 in 20 chance of getting one of the 4 parcels to me :greengrin

I think it’s only fair to mention my experience with Evri, in order to be fair.
I ordered 2 garments on on Monday, was told by Evri via text that they would be here between 11 and 12 on Wednesday. They were as good as their word.
I’m not sure that being the only occupied building on my street had anything to with it.

This is what happens when you make the Royal Mail open up their profitable accounts to competition. Yay for the market!

If the purchase is from a company (not off eBay or Vinted type thing), then the Consumer Rights Act says the selling company is responsible for the item til it’s in your hands. It’s their responsibility to put the situation right, so don’t let them fob you off blaming Evri (who are very hit and miss)

Similarly I have had good service from Evri and DPD lately. Parcels delivered within the timeframe texted to me. You only ever hear about the negative reviews.

I'm the same. Had the same courier for a good while now and I've never lost a single delivery from Evri.

In the interests of squaring the circle : my parcel arrived today, delivered by a near-neighbour.

It was quickly dropped off with no explanation. The original photo showing the missing item was not taken at my door but at a similar door, I know not where.

It wasn't even my parcel which was twice the size.

A complete mystery but all is well that ends well.

Must be the only one who doesn’t have an issue with Evri?

Always been fine for me, too.

Yodel, however......:grr:

Messed up my Christmas big time. Orders placed in November that never arrived despite being out for delivery the whole of December. Daft thing is that some deliveries ordered after the missing parcels were ordered did arrive. Asked the courier and he didn't have them.

Pretty Boy gave some insight in December, but DPD and probably other couriers as well were swamped, in part due to the Royal Mail strikes driving companies to use other means of delivery, wonder if that’s been the cause of your issues

Funnily enough usually don’t have many issues with Evri but yesterday was in waiting for a parcel. When I went to check the tracking it said theyd tried to deliver but no one was in. Didn’t ring the doorbell and could have left in the porch anyway as doesn’t need signed for. Pretty poor service.
