Does anyone know why there are members of security lined up in formation on the pitch long after the game has ended?

To stop the wee fannies running on the pitch?

Because folk have decided it’s perfectly fine to wander into the pitch whenever they want.

It's happened at several games recently.

Bairns should be allowed to run on the pitch and high five the players.

All you moaners, I bet u sit in the west haha

I don't have any issue with a few bairns going on the pitch. The issue is that if you allow that then the big bairns start joining in and eventually it happens at a powderkeg game and there is bother.

Ultimately Hibs can't be seen to condone any fans being on the pitch however harmless it may seem.

Before a player takes a penalty? Which is what happened against Aberdeen.

Not sure if you're being serious or not, but "what-if" the Scottish League have stated that teams will get fined if fans run onto the pitch during or after a game. My first thought when I saw the formation on the pitch was about the money it costs, as I'm sure that there were more stewards employed yesterday as they'll still need stewards in the stands to make sure fans can make a safe exit. I honestly don't believe Hibs would pay for extra stewarding just to stop a "bairn" from running onto the pitch.

I know it's only "bairns" wanting a high-five, but the next time it might be something more serious.

I’m fairly sure the league wouldn’t allow that.

I sit in the West as does the legend of a guy who started a song on two occasions yesterday that even the silent east joined in with.

I’ve sat in all 3 home stands and the West is generally the most positive in its support of the team.

Problem is tho, it starts off as kids but then idiot adults get involved.

Nobody should be on the pitch full stop. Doesn’t matter if it’s harmless kids just wanting a selfie with players or jerseys or folk on to cause trouble. It’s not about being boring or a “moaner” but you can’t ban some and not others.

If you look at TV Big Match Revisited on ITV4 you see kids in 70s/80s gear running on at many of the games. Avuncular coppers ushering them away.
Better days. Can't go back.

"Oh Hibby Hibby,
Hibby, Hibby, Hibby, Hibby,
- ernian"

Certain vintage will remember him.
