The kids are away to turkey in the summer with the grandparents. Both have become obsessed with thinking they can get really cheap football tops from a market. €10 seems to be what they've arrived at (no idea why?). Anyone anyone any ideas how much they will cost. They're going to kusadasi

The markets in Turkey are awash with fake everything. They need to learn how to haggle though.

There are several sites like this which offer good advice; https://turkeytravelplanner.com/details/Shopping/HowToBargain.html

Just make sure it's a genuine fake.

Just make sure it's a genuine fake.

There are fakes and there are copies.

Copies are very good.

Bought a few fakes in Marmaris about 2015 (Juventus, Ajax, Germany and Dortmund) and they were pretty good quality.

Kusadasi is a bit more expensive due to the Cruise boats coming in. There is a market opposite the bus station and it might be cheaper there as it away from the port.

Turkish markets sell everything from crap fake tatt to super clone watches for thousands of pounds. Take trainers for example, each shop will have 2 or 3 different standards of fakes costing anything from a tenner to £150. It depends what you want to pay. I was over for the Scotland game last year and picked us a few football tops, some where decent copies and cost about £7, others were perfect copies and cost about a tenner. As said above though, and in my best Life of Brian accent....... 'you've gotta haggle'. There's plenty films on YouTube giving advise.

Thanks folks.

My kids will literally throw their money at the vendor. Their granny on the other hand will more than likely resort to telling them to foxtrot oscar

Im the worlds worst haggler, I normally end up the other way and walk out of the shop after paying more 🤣
