Just watching the Norwich build up and saw Tim Krul being interviewed at their training ground. They have veg plots and grow and cook all their own veg which players have before/after training, more surprisingly they also have 3 bee hives too

East Mains is massive and part of a farm, wonder if we could use some of the land for allotments, more home grown players 🤣

Nice one Norwich, does Delia Smith still own them ?

She is indeed.

Mixed bag of an owner. I can’t see them being in financial bother, but she also doesn’t invest, so the club is self-sufficient. Means they’re never likely to shake the yo-yo status as the ambition isn’t there.

She also has club commercial and marketing staff working on Delia’s Catering stuff a lot of the time, which can’t be particularly useful for the club.

Am I the only one that read the thread title and presumed Norwich were in financial trouble?

Get some livestock and we could market them as your official Cabbage and Ribs.

I could have just said sustainability but the thread is about Norwich City so I had to put their name in 🤣

Renaming our youth academy as The Cabbage Patch is the move. Each player that comes through is then a Cabbage Patch Kid. ???. Profit.

The way the pitch at ER is looking these days nobody would be surprised to hear we had started growing vegetables at the stadium, never mind East Mains.

Aye, ok it's not that bad, but why is it we barely seem to get through two consecutive seasons without the pitch starting to fall apart half way though?

Given that folk say speaking to plants helps them grow perhaps our ultras should spend half an hour a day singing 'c'mon you greens' to the veg patches once they are up and running :greengrin

It’ll be interesting to see how much of an impact all the solar panels we installed at ER will make, especially given energy costs right now.

We've grown a few turnips over the years.
