Just checked to see if he played yesterday

2 assists!

Hope you comes back stronger and ready to challenge for a place on next season’s team

Another, like Youan, who has got lots of attributes I like but needs experience/game time to progress. Hope he does well at RC - sounds like a good start!

I thought Kenneh looked ok when he played for us, and definitely had potential- would probably liked to see more of him before he went on loan. I was glad his loan was to another SPL club, and have been very interested to see how he gets on.

However, him being credited with two assists yesterday just exemplifies how flawed the concept is (and I say that as someone who has posted a lot of stats to back up my arguments in the past - not that I think that assists were ever part of those).

His first was a proper lay on, good break up the park and square ball for a tap in. But, as best as I can work out, his second one must have been a pass to a team mate, who hit a speculative 25 yard shot which the keeper palmed up and into the net.

I very much hope he comes back to us a better player, but he cannot be given any legitimate credit for playing a major part in that third County goal.

Agreed, ‘assist’ doing a lot of heavy lifting when describing their 3rd goal [emoji23]

The Killie goalie should have got the assist on that one. :greengrin

:agree: ‘assist’ is a weird one. Too many run of the mill contributions included. With the next gen stats at their disposal they really should have a better metric for the proper Zidane/Socrates/Newell type of slide rule pass for a goal :agree:

He looked a totally different player for the County 1st goal. Great interception and determination to start the attack. He looked so confident on the ball and his pass for the goal was inch perfect.

Hopefully does his confidence the world of good as i really like his defensive side of the game.

How is it any different from a player getting a lucky goal from a deflection or a gift from the opposing defence?

No one's going to turn around and tell you they shouldn't count as real goals

Incredible to think we are paying £5k a week for Kenneh's potential. Hopefully we are learning from our recruitment mistakes of the last 12 months

I'd be amazed if he was on that. Mental money.

That's what I thought as well, it was really impressive and showed another string to his bow, that's for sure. I'd be quite surprised if he's on £5k a week though.

His play for that first goal is brilliant.

Winning the ball back on the edge of his own box with great play and intensity, sprinting up to the other end of the pitch and putting it on a plate for Brophy.

Well done Kenneh, keep doing that and see you in the summer

Is there some sort of rule behind him not being able to feature tomorrow?

Yep. It used to be something that was baked into loan deals, but I believe there’s league rules preventing a player playing against their club now.

Why aren’t we getting these kind of performances from our players?

Right, so we sent Kenneh on loan and brought in a replacement because he was doing so well for us?

You’ll need to explain this to me.
