Good to see Lewis get a run.

The laddie really hasn’t had much luck since he arrived in Scotland.

He certainly didn’t look out of place and let’s hope he can kick on from here and remain injury free.

I remember a comment, might have been you FF, saying that rowles was a ready to go singing and miller was a longer term project.

His decision making has a bit to go, when to take on players and when to keep it simple, he tried to take on an attacker and got away with it, earning himself a bollocking from Hanlon.

e's got a great build and a bit of pace so there's potential there, just needs to stay injury free and get some minutes.

He made one mistake today and recovered it by absolutely burning the cheat Duck for pace, the laddie can certainly shift

Big laddie, quick and powerful. He’s got potential.

Delighted he’s back.

Was it just me that thought he never looked fit/like he was moving right?

Couple of times where I thought he looked like he couldn’t quite sprint/properly get in his stride.

Noticed his leg was heavily bandaged up too

Needs half a dozen starts in a settled side and we will see the best of him

Yeah he didn’t look fully fit at all, in fact it looked like he was protecting an injury when he tried to run. Hopefully it was just rustiness?

Was chuffed the see him come on today. The right back position is up for grabs and he looks a total athlete.

Competition for places can only be a good thing.

I observed exactly the same....was not moving normally ..looked unfit and slow and even looked like he put weight on his belly area!!

I thought the same, looked like he was struggling a bit.

He was raging with one of the tackles on him, looked a bit of an over reaction from him but wondered if he was worried about an injury.

Runs like he has a wooden leg.

So do I and Im not injured, the strapping on his left thigh looked rather bulky so probably restricted him a bit

Must admit I did think the same, surprised with comments saying he looked fast. Clearly quite an athlete but his running technique looked rather strange

I've got big hopes for Miller at Hibs. There was one point when he pulled off a neat little toe poke pass to someone and you could just tell he's got the mind to play the right kind of ball under pressure and the touch needed to pull it off. Not afraid of getting stuck I'm about the opposition either which I'm 100% fine with!

I thought the same as well, with the strapping to boot I hope we’re not rushing the guy back too early certainly didn’t look comfortable

Think he has pace looks a real athlete to me strong and powerful. Just needs game time imo

From the little amount of time I have seen him, I've not been that impressed, seems clumsy on the ball, a big unit of a boy though and still needs to get a run of games, but I don't think he would add more to the team at RB than Cadden.

He’s played less than 2 games worth of football for us so hard to see how you can think he won’t add anything more to the team.

Well it's not that hard actually, it's a case of the small amount of times I have seen him, he has not really shown anything, and as I acknowledged he does need a run of games to truly see what he is about, but I just can't see him being better at RB than the experienced Cadden. Absolutely could be wrong of course, as he is a big athletic looking laddie.

Actually I am a bit like that with Cadden myself, but he does do a job there, I'd be quite interested to see how Megwa would get on in that position.

As everybody is saying the guy looks like a real athlete, but as they are also saying on Saturday he looked like he was pulling a tractor tyre when he ran. He looked anything but fit enough to be even coming on as a sub and it looked like that bandage was holding his leg together in all honesty.

I still have high hopes for the guy, IMO Cadden is no more a right back than Kevin Nisbet is so that area is very much up for grabs and if Miller can get it together he could make it his own, his height would be an asset defending corners as well. Looking at him against Aberdeen I can't help thinking if we are to see anything from him it's not going to be this season, we would be better just concentrating on getting him fully fit and up and running for pre season 23/24.

I’m afraid I’m still yet to see it with this guy.

In his defence, Saturday was no occasion to be judging him on as he was clearly not fully recovered from injury and it’s also been ages since he’s been seen in the first team.

Not writing him off but not pretending to have seen anything to suggest he’s anywhere near Cadden’s level.

I rate Cadden FWIW.

I’ve got high hopes for him too. Completely agree he didn’t look for at all to me and his leg seemed heavily bandaged. He seems quite a bit away from starting for us still but getting the last 20 in games will help that fitness.

There was never any doubt that Lewis was going to have to adjust to the frenetic pace of the game in Scotland.

He played well in the preseason, but his entire season has been close to a write off due to injuries.

Whether he goes on to be a success or not at Easter Road, will depend on how he performs when he’s fit again

FWIW he is still highly regarded in Oz.
Just after the World Cup two media outlets had him down to be a member of the squad should Australia make the NEXTworld cup.

I think he's a good player that maybe needs more time than most with injury and moving to a new country , he's only 22 years old so I think us Hibs fans can cut him a bit of slack ! 🇳🇬🇭🇲 👍

Still young so plenty time to improve but don't think he's looked ready for first team football, including the league cup games. Just doesn't look good enough on the ball.

Hope he settles and improves, managed to speak to him after a game once and seems like a lovely lad who's desperate to do well here.

I think with cadden and hanlon both playing through injury that the double barrelled guy is first back up for those two positions, so if they're both knackered he'd be playing.

That’s how I interpreted it as well. Egan-Riley wasn’t specifically signed to play at right back but to fill in at a number of positions.

He has barely played but when he has, he hasn't been at the level required to be competing for what we want. That's not to say he can't get there, as he has some great attributes, but it'll take a lot of hard work. One thing Aussie footballers don't tend to lack is hard work and commitment, so fingers crossed we see him grow and grow.
