Good luck to whoever is planning the marketing for this - you’ll need it. Whilst there is a diehard core that will always renew come what may, the cost of living crisis + poor product on the park = a lot of convincing required for a significant segment of our support, particularly if we see any cost increase, many of whom will vote with their feet.

Might bring back the cup top up given it'll likely provide better value for the club these days.

It’s the only time you’ll see and hear Ron, on Zoom no doubt, claiming a pursuit of excellence 👍

Absent and silent landlord who isn’t worthy of our club 👍 sooner he’s gone the better, and I pray it’s soon.

There will need to be a hell of a lot of pulling at the heartstrings stuff included in next season's campaign that's for sure.

I think the most annoying part for me after many many years of having a season ticket is the hope and expectations being ruined. When we won the cup and had record season tickets you felt that finally in my lifetime Hibs we’re actually going to kick on. Bring in Ron Gordon and we could be back to the Fenlon/Butcher days in a flash. It’s probably the lowest I’ve felt about us ever improving long term. I’ll be struggling to renew this year but probably will out of habit.

It'll be a far tougher decision than it's been before, that's for sure.

It’s a hugely negative post and if you dont also post your own thoughts on a solution then why bother?
The cost of living crisis will effect every club and is more to do with politics than us.

If we don't renew we will be in an even more perilious situation. The season ticket sales allow for future signings, and without funds this will reduce the number of quality players we need. We need a DOF in and a complete overhaul of all the clubs activities form top to bottom. Recruitment is the priority with defender being essential. No more masses of mediocre midfielders!
I would also appoint another older manager (possibly not in a job) with experience to work alongside LJ and get rid of some of the coaches.

You want us to appoint another manager to work alongside our manager?

Maybe posts by diehards wanting to renew, which goes against the narrative!

Zero inclination to renew. Club feels like a shambles from top to bottom and can barely scrape a result to save ourselves never mind a result that matters, 8k max.

I think the majority of ST holders renew no questions asked. They can always be relied upon to support the club be that in good times or bad.

There’s probably around 2000 ST holders who may need a bit more work and convincing to keep on board, and recruiting new ST holders could be a challenge.

When I learned what one of my friends was paying for what doesn’t look the greatest of seats at Parkhead away up in the gods it did hit home how good value a Hibs ST was in comparison to that.

Not really good value even in comparison.

They’re spending millions on players such as jota and kyogo, we are signing tavares and Lewis miller.

The only narrative we have is to try to keep the forum family friendly and readable. The deleted posts were replies to something they, and we, found unacceptable.

When does the info usually come out ?

They have to be careful as end up bottom 6 and will be an even harder sell than top 6.

We have 10 games (4 home games) before split including another game V Hearts last home game before split.

They have to do something different with the FF lower and get Block 7 into that area as a minimum.

Surely they can’t justify increasing prices either for less quality.

Usually comes out around March IIRC

A new manager with a clean slate to build a new squad is about the only thing that will entice thousands, myself included.

A new manager who isn’t a yes man or a pushover and can bring the fans together.

A new group of players with some character - mental toughness and ability.

A new back line. Love you Stevenson and Hanlon but we need to look ahead.
Cadden also isn’t a right back.

A new midfield - sorry Joe Newell that isn’t you.

Some decent strikers who can finish.

Sounds a lot but we really need drastic changes to sort our club out.

I’m just so disillusioned and disappointed at the club right now

They can’t just rely on peoples goodwill and loyalty anymore. It’s a 2 way street.

I just have no confidence in the current team, manager or recruiting team to fix this mess.

If anyone on the board reads these pages they have to sort this mess out or we will be back to 8k crowds

End of March for the last couple of seasons bar the COVID season, when it was mid to late April.

I think blind loyalty towards any business now doesn’t exist so Hibs are going to have to show some squad ambition quickly to keep a fair chunk of fans onside. You cannot repeatedly produce a poor product on the park and expect people to keep paying hundreds of pounds to fund it all.

I think there’ll be a couple of thousand less season tickets bought this summer.

I would love it we just finally started coming out and saying this.

Stop trying to pretend it’s another game etc when it really isn’t in a capital city. You are competing for fans for the future and even attracting players in future compared to rivals.

If ( if ) we can make the top 6 we have a shot at 4th which should get us a European place. If we want to entice ST holders to renew we could do worse than put every European tie prior to the group stages, should we by some miracle get that far, on to folks season tickets for no extra cost ..... it would restrict us from making money from Europe at the gate, but if even a thousand folk bite it would be well worth it.

That aside, we must, we simply must, push the boat out to improve the team. No more punts on B team players from wherever no more £300,000 punts on the likes of Melkersen. We need about 5 solid experienced players into this club and at least one of them has to be a bit of a 'wow' signing. Not only that, but at least one of these youngsters folk keep raving about has to get a chance, if not a single one of them is worth a start in 'this' team, what the hell is the point of them?

Whatever we do, the team overall has to improve by a lot and the owner of this club has to realise bloody quick that we are not a 'project' .. we need to be up there challenging in the league and the cups. If this season has shown him anything it's that folk are not willing to turn up to watch 'projects' even folk who already have season tickets as witness the empty seats in the stands that should have ST holder in them.

It's get a grip or get lost time for Ron Gordon.

Yes someone like John Collins an ex manager with experience to guide him for the rest of the seson.

If you’re proposing we bring in a manager to manage our manager that’s just ridiculous.

Just sack a manager if he’s needing a manager

He’s just a ***** manager

I’m going to renew regardless.

But a different manager with a completely new midfield might give this club half a chance again. To get people back.

I’m sure the frozen prices will be rolled out

And the anticipation from hibs will be is that we’re all meant to form an orderly queue

Clueless board

Personally I'm not sure if Hibs really have the money to fully improve the squad. First of all they need to get rid of all the dross that are taking a wage, which won't be easy. Next they'll need to invest heavily in a new squad. For years now we have been far too reliant on one or two players, in recent years it's been Boyle and the minute he gets injured the team seems to fall apart. Years ago it was Lee Griffiths that virtually single handedly stopped us from being relegated. They'll also need to get as much money as they can for any saleable assets we have. We don't just need to get say 5 good players, we need to get 5 good players to replace them in case they get injured which with Hibs' luck is almost inevitable. So that's at least 10 quality players to start with. Ain't going to happen. Not with this lot in charge. I seriously considered not buying a season ticket this season after the pish that was on view last season, but this time round I'm just not able to get any kind of enthusiasm for them, I thought Hearts were going to beat us today and they did, regardless of how we played, and instead of feeling outraged I just left after the 2nd goal and went back to the car thinking of where to book our next holiday. Loads of people say at the end of a bad season 'Right, that's it, I'm not getting a ST next season', and loads of them, including me, after saying that, talk themselves into getting it after all. But at the moment, I'm not really sure that I even care. Hibs, please help me!

I’m sure I read somewhere that Ron isn’t a fan of the whole “persevere” narrative…

He 100% said it after speaking with the fans podcasts I think, obviously not aware of it being the motto for Leith.

I think Ron has been very naive about how to run the club. He's emptied the backbone of the club, some being good Hibs fans that have served the club well and replaced them with people outwith. I could be wrong but the club just feels like it's a but soulless at present.

One example being Adam Tomlinson, he's probably very good at putting content together and producing social media for the club etc but he's also the face of our social media team. I want to hear from a passionate Hibs fan, there has to be someone out there that could have fulfilled the role, I was watching the build up with Mixu yesterday and it felt a little flat
