I am not a knee jerk kind of guy, but we really need some good news coming out of Easter road just now, lee must be pressing to get player's I,as his job depends on it,baffles me what is going on at Easter road

Past that stage now tbh.

If(more likely, when) we lose on Sunday I really hope the fans make it loud and clear how angry they are with this shambolic board.

I'm in. Can't continue.

McKirdy comes on and scores his first goal and the winner for Hibs, sliding towards the away end doing his machine gun celebration...

Absolute scenes.

Ok, maybe more of a fantasy than 'staying positive' but that's all the good news I need from Hibs this weekend

They can expect fairly large protests if we get hosed

I get a feeling some people here enjoy when we’re not doing so well and crave it to continue. I might be wrong.

So if Johnson doesn’t get any signings this window does that mean we add a window to his four he needs?🤦*♂️

It’s time for heroes again this weekend,is there any left at this club?😬.

We play our best 11 we might do something, although tinkerman is likely to play a midfield of defenders and a defence of midfielders.

I’m optimistic, Hearts away record isn’t great, St Mirren outplayed them twice recently home and away, they beat an awful Aberdeen side who’d played 120 minutes on a tattie field days before.

Nisbet is on fire - Porto’s last game - good crowd, early goal, who knows. McGeady makes a difference too.

Casper derby, Spoony’s winner, Ross Caldwell’s strike - games where we weren’t given a hope. Right attitude, right application, let’s do it 👍

Best part is you can just imagine the media meltdown. "hibs striker promotes gun violence in derby win vs hearts" front page of the sun 😂

Could see the atmosphere turning poisonous if we are losing the way we did a few weeks ago.

Didn’t we knock them out the league cup at easter road in 2006 after they had beaten us at hampden same year, then same again in scottish cup at easter road in 2012 after we had lost to them at hampden? Also knocked them out at easter road season we won the cup , they were a league above us .. Same thing could happen again .. We got to the final of all they cups as well , going onto win 2 of the cups.. 🤔

I like to think I normally give the club the benefit of the doubt and try and see things from their position.

But I’m genuinely stunned we’ve not signed anyone yet and have actually weakened our squad so far.

If they’re basis it on Johnson winning/losing to decide whether to sack him then that’s ridiculous. You can base it on a one off game and it has to be an overall thought through decision.

Either get behind him or don’t.

If they are behind him then they should have gave him every chance to succeed by bringing in players right at the start of the window. Hearts, Motherwell, United and Hearts will be the four games we’ve played come Sunday, an extra point or 2 gained against them or progress in the cup is massive for us and momentum.

We could be holding out for real quality, but how long do you wait? Lose on Sunday, lose to County and the window is closed and peoooe want the manager out again.

Or more likely, folk just trudging home in a grumpy mood then air their displeasure on here Sunday evening.

Im backing LJ to pull something out of the bag here. What times the draw?

Not sure they are.

They are.

There's plenty to be legitimately pissed off about and the fastest way to turn those people around is to show a squad and a team that can consistently play purposeful football and which looks like it is improving. Instead we have squandered a great opportunity in recent years to build on the cup win, get into Europe to make money and drive home our status within this league. They've made a complete **** of it and virtually the only thing that has gone well is the commercial side off the park.

That's fine but don't then take the hump - as those on the executive side have done occasionally - when supporters who come to watch football rather than appreciate balance sheets get very brassed-off with very obvious repetitive failings on the football side; including in tactical, signing, leadership and youth development areas. The return on our substantial football investment has been ruinous.

You just need to spot those who are conspicuous by their absence after a win or two that come roaring back once it goes against us again, there are a few on here are only happy when it rains.

It's the only way to approach a derby for me. I'll be in the minority but I didn't think we were THAT bad last time either. Balls cleared off the line, VAR pen, defensive catastrophe, Youan 1 on 1...

If we get a slice of luck for once then Sunday could be one to remember!

Best part is you can just imagine the media meltdown. "hibs striker promotes gun violence in derby win vs hearts" front page of the sun [emoji23]As much as I've moaned about the Scottish MSM in the past, I'd definitely take it if that turns out to be the case [emoji23][emoji119]

why does his job depend on getting players in? unless it is somebody of Boyles quality then last minute signings will never work for a derby match.

How have we weakened?

I’d say losing Kenneh and Melkersen and not replacing him is weakening the squad.

Newell is out for Sunday and other than Porteous we don’t have a defensive minded midfielder. Rumours JDH is out and even if he starts hasn’t played started in months.

Nisbet is the only recognised striker, god forbid anything happens or him we’ll be shoehorning Youan or McKirdy into a central role

I meant from our starting 11 but even between the 2 mentioned they ain't played much recently. I thought letting those 2 go though we had signings in place.

Kenneh I thought had something and was worth persevering with. A few rough edges there but I reckon they’d get smoothed over time.

I never really saw it with Melkersen, he looks miles from being ready to me. I don’t have a problem with him being elsewhere and for us to focus on bringing through our own youth players.

We can almost cobble a first team out of what we have but our first team squad is miles short of where it needs to be but this isn’t news. I’m sort of resigned to the fact that we appear to be going through a period of decline. At least the departures suggest we’re doing something about it, even if it’s not the right thing.

I'm the other way pal, thought Melkerson's movement was great but no one with the vision to see it. Think he'll be a decent player. Opinions eh👍🏻

Kenneh would certainly have been worth having around for Sunday, given what we have available.
