No, you didn't misread the title...apparently a six year old managed to get hold of a gun and, according to the Police, intentionally shot his teacher in a school in Virginia.
The teacher is apparently in hospital with life threatening injuries.

That's possibly where the kid got the gun. Report I saw said the school had metal detection facilities.

The good guy was probably still stuck at nursery for the day.

BBC report said pupils were randomly screened.
Regardless, I can't imagine wanting to live in a society where a 6 year old not only has access to a gun, but has the will & ability to use it.
Seen this earlier WTAF, only in the good old U S of A.

No comment yet from Donald Trump, but I'd imagine that's the view of both him and the NRA.

It seems the teacher was trying to disarm the kid. What a world. There is a real legal minefield as to how this would be dealt with, given the child's age and relevant gun laws

There's been many shootings since the six year old incident. It all just leaves me cold now, I just can't feel any more empathy for a society that as a whole loves its guns more than its children.

72 year old suspect shot himself in his van, so some old man p*ssed off about something in life and decided **** it i'm going to murder people, because he could
The man suspected of killing 10 people at a California dance studio is dead, police say
Armed officers surrounded a white van in Torrance, California more than 12 hours after the shooting
SWAT officers smashed the van's window, finding the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound
The suspect is Huu Can Tran, a 72-year-old male Asian, says LA County Sheriff Robert Luna
Ten others have been injured and some of those are in critical condition
The gunman fled the scene and tried to target a second dance studio in nearby Alhambra, police say
In Alhambra, onlookers were able to wrestle the weapon from the suspect but he escaped
Police seized a semi-automatic pistol - they say it's unclear if multiple guns were used

A family member of mine lives a few miles from there in Pacifica. Bonkers. 39th mass shooting in the US. That’s just in JANUARY. 1,214 gun deaths just since New Years Day. It’s mind blowing. WW2 battlefield casualty levels.

Not related to school shooting or mass shooting but when you have 130 guns per 100 people these sort of stories pop up every now and then, usually unaware kids doing the trigger pulling, this time is it mans best friend!
