I was recently contacted by a journalist that wanted to do an article on Dnipro Kids. The article has now been published, and what I have found really interesting is that they interviewed people at the Home Office about the evacuation.

I had no idea (if the Home Office statement is correct) that our Dnipro Kids group of children are the only Ukrainian "care experienced" group of children in the whole of the UK!

Worth a read if you have a couple of spare minutes.

Thanks Steve. Lots of us needed a heart-warmer and this gives us that, plus a bit of perspective. Well done and Glory Glory. :flag:

Well done Stevie.

They've received loads of help along the way, none more so than from the Charity. :aok:

I’m always full of admiration for what Dnipro Kids have achieved. Clearly a complex situation but the whole thing, and the links to Hibs, is wonderful and a positive endeavour. Fantastic 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

Such a touching read, these kids have been through so much and I hope and pray they are as happy as they can be, one day being able to return home to a free Ukraine, unless they like Scotland enough to want to stay!
Huge well done to Stevie and everyone involved.

Re the "care experienced" I wouldn't be surprised given the hoops you had to go through to get it all done. The hurdles you have had to overcome and the difficulty of keeping children in care, in a foreign country, safe and happy given the circumstances, can't be underestimated. I'm full of admiration for what you and your colleagues/ volunteers have achieved.
