I’d give it a ‘pretty good’…a bit like it’s follow up.

Not gonna win an Oscar but an entertaining enough watch.

Thanks , it seems to be popular on Netflix so will try it out!

Knives out is decent, Glass Onion is better. Purely from an entertainment standpoint, I’m nae critic but they kept me interested

Decent enough movie, kept me entertained, there is another movie on Netflix called the good nurse based on a true story that I fancy.

I really liked both of them, I saw knives Out a few years ago when it first came out. Glass Onion has more action, the first one more a traditional gentle paced whodunnit. The acting is faultless throughout.

Watched Glass Onion last night, was bloody good entertainment.

Decent movie like an old fashioned who dunnit.

DC accent takes a bit of getting used too.

Both worth watching.

Watched another whodunnit earlier this afternoon on bbc2, this one a real oldie with Charles Laughton and Marlene Dietrich called Witness for the Prosecution. Great courtroom action.

Knives Out was good but I thought Glass Onion was 5 stars.

Amazing cast and it pulls no punches on some obvious but worthy current targets. Also a few little points that make a rewatch worthwhile

I agree. Glass Onion was the better film, but apart from the host, I didn't twig who the other characters were supposed to be. :dunno:

With all the hype around glass onion, I decided to watch knives out... was a bit underwhelmed by the first 30 mins or so, but then thought it turned into quite a good movie.

Will give glass onion a go in the new year, good to see it seems to be an even better film too! :aok:

I don’t think any of them are blatantly based on just one real person. Edward Norton being Elon Musk seems the most obvious of course.

But I think the Dave Bautista Duke character is an amalgam of various toxic masculinity YouTube types. For example that clown Andrew Tate who’s been in the news this week.

The politician and the Kate Hudson characters are a bit more broad but draw parallels with various real life stories

Watched it the other night, it's decent but not as good as the 1st, not as star studded as the first either.

When your own son follows that bassa Tate and says he ‘has good things to say’ you know there’s problems. Really worrying how this sort of toxic misogyny is so mainstream these days. Probably not for this thread.

Ouch. That's got to hurt. 😟

Andrew Tate is a full blown tit and known acquaintance of Mr Yaxley-Lennon, seems to be a pattern of his pals being a bit… dodgy, to say the least.

I enjoyed the first one. Watched the new one tonight. No spoilers but I guessed whodunit pretty quickly.

Enjoyed it though
