Usually much maligned fall guy .
Is exempt from criticism last night
Did his bit and more last night.
Only Marshall and Youan escaped criticism and would add Lewis too except the years are now catching up with him .

I agree with that, guy's turned it right around, maybe because he was given games and a but of time?

Very happy for him.

His age means he's going to make mistakes but as it stands he's made a lot less than Hanlon and probably less than Porteous with regards to those that lead directly to goals.

Has all the right attributes and has massively improved in a short time. His reading of the ball in the air is noticeably improved since last season albeit he's still a little hesitant at times and lets the ball bounce a little too often. Dare I say it but he's effectively Macgregor 2.0. Big, strong, quick and no nosense. One of the few positives in the squad right now.

I don’t think we can consider him ‘maligned’ anymore, he’s been good for months now. I’d imagine it’s just the likes of Richard Gordon who hasn’t noticed. He’s our best chance of keeping that lot at bay in the derby. I just don’t trust any of our other defenders.

I’m still to be convinced by Rocky. He’s still part of a defence that is chucking goals in. What he does have is pace and strength that can get him out of certain situations. And what he has above any of the rest of them is a bit of determination and desire to actually do well. Felt sorry for him last night because he was one of the very few who didn’t absolutely chuck it.

He’s been very good this season.

His pace, strength and overall power is a huge benefit and bails us out of numerous dangerous positions.

Loads of potential but already a decent defender at this level.

Can see him growing in confidence and starting giving his teammates a bit back which is good to see, never liked seeing a couple having a go at him at times which I thought was unfair

You mean Porteous?
So annoying. One of the things I’ll miss least about him when he goes. Opponents love to see that.

PotY - hands down

Funny how things turn out sometimes, the player that we signed by mistake turns out to be one of our best signings. I'm sure someone posted during pre season when everyone was losing their shizzle over this that Rocky would be our POTY. As things stand, I think there's a very good chance this happens! Considering the amount of negativity about him signing and how inconsistent we have been has a team, the lad has done brilliantly to turn things around.

Over the moon for him. Goes to show that if a player is given a chance and not written off early then they can come good.

Hope his run continues. Nailed on starter each week now.

I really like Rocky. Had a a bit of a mare at the penalty along with the rest of the back 4 but other than that was our best defender as he has been many times this season.

Yep it was Newell he was having a go at and rightly so. As opposed to Porteous who was bawling at Youan for not tracking back when Cadden was standing there with his finger up his arse.

One of the very few who could look themselves in the mirror last night. Big game for him at Tynecastle where he was very poor last season however need more with his attitude.

I like him a lot. People tend to forget he's only 23 years old too.

And yet this is the same guy that supposedly asked someone at the club " why did the fans hate him " makes you think on why it's important to show new players abit of patience and support , does it not ?

Arguably our best player this season.

Our player of the season so far IMO. You could make an argument for Boyle and Marshall but no one else.

Never doubted he would turn out to be a good player for us, pass marks every week and looking like poty award.

The Rocky of this season is what we’ve all asked for, for years. He’s just doing the basics, win your battles, clear your lines and don’t give anything away easily.

Hopefully we can find a left sided player of same ilk to partner him in January

My most-repeated line at Hibs games this season has probably been "well done Rocky", saved us time and time again.

I still think he is capable of brain farts when he has a wee bit too much time on the ball and goes on a mazy run but you can’t help but feel happy for the big guy, especially after the way his signing was announced and the way people reacted.

Massive player for us on Monday.

I don't think Rocky has been a fall guy at all this season and whilst he didn't prove himself conclusively last season it was more to do with the confusing and seemingly shambolic nature of his signing that got peoples' backs up. Anyway I'm sure to hell pleased he did sign.

I wasn't impressed by him last season and was disappointed when it turned out we had to sign him because he'd played enough games to trigger a clause.

He looks a much improved player this season and will get even better as he gains experience.

He has had a very good season and I think what I like best is there are still improvements being seen month on month. He was terrible on teh ball when he first arrived but now seems assured and plays it simply and accurately into a midfielder most times. He has been our best centre half this year and will only get better. I'd be looking at signing other players we don't think are good enough

Class defender will only get better and better as time goes on he just needed games as he was carrying an injury last season in fact he will be player of the year this season I'm confident.

Between him, Porto and Marshall for player of the year - nobody else even close.
