David Marshall's two penalty saves in one game got me thinking if any other keepers have done this in Scotland before? ( 90 minutes ) . In England the only one I seem to remember is mark Bosnich I think he was with Spurs at the time . Seen this in the sun about David Marshall.

Jim Leighton did it against Rangers I think? First one had to be retaken and he saved the second too? Might be wrong with that actually.
More recently I’m sure a goalie saved 3 or 4 points in a game involving Dunfermline I think? Cammy Bell maybe?

You're right about Leighton. Second one was a retake. We won 2-1.

Does that count as one penalty though? Marshall's was two separate penalties.

Oh, I agree. Yes, it's just one penalty.

Think you could be right about Leighton, seem to remember something about two penalties against sevco. Though I'm not 100 % on that one .

Around 1975, Kenny Garland saved two pens in a Derby at ER. Hibs won 2-1.

Leighton didn't save the first penalty. Laudrup (I think) hit the bar.

We beat He4rts 2-1 at Easter Road in 1974 despite Kenny Garland saving 2 penalties (Harper and Cropley) that day.

Remember the Leighton ones. Both were taken by Brian Laudrup so expected him to score. As been mentioned, it would go down as one penalty as it was retaken for encroachment. That was rarely given back then so no surprise the first time I think I'd seen that in a game was after the Huns missing one when they were a goal down.
Was 1996 shortly after Miller had been sacked. Jocky Scott's first game in charge as caretaker boss.

Also recall Leighton saving 3 in a shoot-out v Partick at Firhill en route to the 1993 League Cup final.

Pat Jennings saved two different penalties whilst playing for Spurs at Anfield
Not only can I remember Ronnie Simpson saving 2 penalties in one game, but coincidentally we won that game by 4 goals also, 8 4 against Third Lanark exactly 62 years ago to the day. Our next game was the minor matter of a trip to the Nou Camp where we only scored 4! That was 62 years ago today.
Bizarrely we lost 10 9 on aggregate to Thirds that season as they won the last game of the season 6 1 and scored their 100th league goal in the process.

Although Leighton against Laudrup was two shots at the same pen it was nevertheless probably the best moment in probably my most favourite game, outwith those you would expect.
Many highlights in that game including Jackson winning a penalty for us. I’m not saying he wasn’t close to being in the box but he could have got a taxi there without the driver complaining.
If that was one of the softest pens i’ve ever seen awarded, then theirs was at the other extreme. Dodds on Laudrup was like watching an octopus trying to lasso a panicked horse, flailing limbs everywhere and the actual ball nowhere.
