How many years have you had a season ticket for, when was your first game/ST and where have you sat?

I got my first one in the singing section in 2009/10, 48 years after attending my first game, a Derby match in the East of Scotland Shield.

Moved to Section 41 this season.

Got a Category B season in the South Lower in 2007. Sat everywhere but the North since.

First game with the ST was that mad 4-2 v Gretna where we came from 2-0 down.

Have sat everywhere and had my season ticket in the East since 2014.

Was a regular on the terracing throughout the 60s, but season tickets for the terracing weren't available back then, so it wasn't until I graduated to the old North Stand in 1971 that I got a season ticket. Only missed out one season since then due to bereavement in 2002.
My 1st game was actually an Edinburgh Derby at tynecastle in 1951 (it finished 1-1). My first game at Easter Road would've been slightly after that.

First game was 1990 on a weekend visit from Liverpool. Got my first ST in 92 when I moved to Edinburgh, I gave up my Liverpool ST at the same time, the biggest football mistake I ever made. Should have kept the Liverpool one in my name and let it out. Have sat in the West from day one and still have my ST in the now West Upper.

Been a regular since 67-68 but only got my first season ticket in 93-94. Renewed every season since apart from 2012-13 as some sort of ill judged protest but still went to all the games anyway and ended up with a half season.

Was in the East till 2003-04 then moved to West Lower. Then back to East in 2012-13.

Season ticket holder since c.1993 in the cow shed. Then season ticket holder in AA125 in FF Stand… formerly AA126 but one year randomly swapped with my dad. Also worryingly back in the day my.net username was printed on my season book. Wouldn’t wash in a GDPR world!

First game was a pre season friendly against Newcastle Utd in 1968, stood at the wall half way up the terracing.

First season ticket was in the East after the Tom Farmer takeover and moved to my current seat when the West was built.

My first game at Eater Road would have been season 1961/62, with my dad when I was 4 years old. Had a season ticket since around 1979/80. My very 1st season ticket was for the old terracing, no cover if it rained.

First game wasn't until 1990 and I had a season ticket for the rest of that decade before real life intervened.

Only went to my first game back because I needed to be on the database for the share issue. Finally got my current season ticket for 18/19.

First season ticket 90/91 although dont remember much about it. Few years in the family enclosure before moving behind the goals. Was in there beyond post famous five construction, jumped about about recently because the boy likes the signing section so currently in the east.

First ST in 92 I think, East Terrace. Won it in the Club 86 penalty shoot out. There used to be a trophy with my name on it in the board room!! From there it seemed a good idea so kept buying one. Had one for terracing, East stand, FF stand upper, West stand, ff lower family section now back in FF upper. Many years of misery interspersed by the odd joyous occasion and a whole heap of mediocrity. Wouldn't change it for the world!!!!!

Been going since early 70s but not many really had seasons then. First iirc was for north enclosure early 80s. Then moved to east mid 80s and been there ever since apart from a brief spell in the west which i didnt like coz they were a bunch of boring old gits😃😃. Probably move back to the west soon coz im a boring old git now!! Best spell was in the east before it was seated.

Been following Hibs since the late 60’s my First season ticket would be early 80’s in the North Enclosure, then graduated up to the the old North stand then over to the East. I have also had a family season ticket in the FF for a while. Currently in the West.
I am sure my first game was back in the middle to late 60’s against Partick Thistle a 5-1 win.My first away game was away to Stirling Albion around the same time which was a 4- 1 defeat. My first European tie was 1-1 with Leeds.

First game Hibs v Kilmarnock in 1959, a 4-2 victory.

I've been a season ticket holder on and off. I'm going thru one of my huffy spells at the moment, I like to be entertained but today's side to side football doesn't exactly appeal.

98/99 season beside my Grandad, FF upper front row right next to the west.

Last game in that seat was the St Mirren game in the championship in 16/17 before he passed a few weeks later.

Changed to the east for a couple of seasons with my laddie after that now back in the FF upper a few rows back from where we used to sit, waiting patiently for ‘our’ seats to become available again.

First game away to St Mirren c 1961. Gerry Baker scored in a 1-1 draw.
1st season ticket was for the terracing when they were first introduced in the 1980s. Then the Old East, the North Upper and now with the sweetie paper rustlers in the West Lower. Renewing now more out of habit than anything else.

At a fairly humdrum period in the club's form, it's been a really heartwarming exercise reading through this thread.

I'd love it if admins would organise a Hibs.Net social once a year so we could all share our favourite Hibs memories.

Such a refreshing read and a welcome break from reading posts from the same bakers dozen of drama queens who delight in slagging off anyone who pulls on the jersey

My first season ticket was in the early 1980s in the old North Enclosure.

Have since been on the East Terracing, old Centre Stand, FF Upper, West Stand Upper (south end) and currently West Stand Upper (north end).

Surprised I’ve not been sectioned yet but would probably have to join the queue with a few other sufferers on this thread.

You might be one of the few that remembers the Hibs Social Club that Bill Harrower built on Hawkhill Avenue on part of the car park.

Its been a community hub for a while but no more.

Drove past today and it’s being demolished, wonder what our council plans for the site.

I'd take a guess at around that.
No real idea, although I remember one season having to collect a ticket every game, because my maw had 'washed' my Season book in my jeans and it was a solid lump!

First game was in 1978 I think, but didn't get an ST until around 2005. Up until then you basically didn't need an ST as you could just about always get a ticket - even if a bit of queueing was sometimes necessary. That changed with Mowbray and the golden generation - the football was mouthwatering, crowds were up and, if like me you didn't want to miss a thing, an ST was a must. Since then I've had one most years depending on cash flow at renewal time.

Very similar to my experience.

First game was against Hearts in the Scottish Cup in March '79, then first season ticket in 2004.

Had a few seasons since then without a Season Ticket, but only cos I was living abroad.

First game was 1963/64 against Dunfermline I have been told. I don't remember it.

First season ticket was 1995/96 season in the Famous Five. Before that it was the main terracing for me, lift over, climb over and eventually as a paying customer was my progression through the years.

After a couple of seasons in the Famous Five we moved to the East Stand and been there ever since. Met some good guys/girls, met some moaning b******s and met/listened to a few Fifa 2000s managers.
Many many highs, a few lows, but I always take my seat with hope that this week the team will turn up and repay the faith I have in them.

I was a member of the social club when it first opened around '68/69. The facilities were pretty good, and it was obviously handy for a drink pre-match.
I can remember it being over-run with fans of the old rangers before a game on at least a couple of occasions as there were no officials on the door to deny them access. However, against some of the smaller clubs, you could be given the 3rd degree if you dared to turn up without your membership card.

First game 9 March, 1968. Hibs 2 Dundee 0 goals by Cormack and Stevenson and debut for John Blackley replacing an injured Pat Stanton. Old First Division.

In spite of watching Hibs as much as I could at home, sometimes away and at Hampden, I have only had an ST for the last 2 seasons ( East Stand) although I had a half-season ST a few years ago.
I haven't lived in Edinburgh since I was 23 but I have lived an hour and a bit away from ER since 1991 so not so far since then (Manchester and Canada presented more challenges). Relegation for Hibs allowed me to see them more often in places that are closer to where I live but I don't fancy that scenario again having witnessed it 3 or 4 times!
I hope I am not bringing bad luck to my team with my ST purchase !

First game v Airdrie in 1980.

Season ticket from 1988, had a 3yr sabbatical due to youth football commitments around 2015; but since back in the fold.

Remember the first ST booklets were like cloakroom tickets, you use to get every match, including cup games, reserve games and friendlies...

My first game was in 1975 against East Fife at Easter Road.

Have had a season book since mid 80s.

Started off in old standing enclosure then moved over to the old Eastwhen it was covered standing.

After that moved to Famous 5 when it was built then over to the new West where I remain to this day in block 7.

Have witnessed some magical moments and a lot of not so magical ones but it's a rollercoaster watching the Hibs.

Always has been and I dare say always will be.

I was a frequent PATG until 17 when I bandwagon-jumped off the back of the McLeish season and was in the West Lower for a couple of years.

Absolute favourite time following Hibs was in the West North Upper from 2005-2010 - probably less so the tailends of the Paatelainen/Hughes stints, but despite how flawed the Mowbray/Collins teams were it was genuinely exciting going every week.

You get an amazing connection with a team and what it's capable of going every week - they could be absolutely infuriating at times, but a lot of the bad results often came with a bit of pride because you knew they were trying to do the right thing and often were really unlucky.

Moved to the East when that was built, which felt something like a curse - money plus a huff following relegation ruled me out til the cup win, and I've been West South Upper ever since.

Still love going, but it's largely out of habit, family prevents me going increasingly and it's been a long time since I properly enjoyed a game. Properly pine for something a bit more maverick like the 2005-2007 teams or what Lennon threw together in 2017.

Been ST holder since FF stand was built. FF Lower to begin with, the ‘upgraded’ to West Upper North about 20 years ago and remained there ever since. Never been in South Stand but have had a few East Stand tickets for friendlies and odd League Cup game when I forgot to buy my own seat.

That said, I was regular PATG since mid 1960s and thru 1970s, then occasional games during the 1980s (married, kids, couldn’t afford it!!).

First game though was October 1962 versus Dundee. 2-2 draw. Fairly insignificant game for my dad to take me to you’d think but many years later realised why. Gordon Smith (my dad’s FF hero) played for Dundee that day. I guess he just wanted to see him play one last time. Of course, that meant also I’ve seen him play, although I was totally oblivious to that as an over excited 4 year old.

Been through the thick and thin ever since. Biggest regret? My dad not seeing the 2016 Cup Final. I cried like a big bairn on his behalf that day. Highlight of my Hibs supporting journey, closely equalled by honestly being able to say “I was there” at “the greatest game” that is about to celebrate its 50th anniversary. GGTTH

ST holder since mid 80's.
First game was either Rheims in semi final of European cup or Hibs v United Services team. Not sure which came first.
The current team are no worse than than those throughout the majority of my Hibs supporting years.Infrequently we have had spells of good footballing team, mainly by Willie McFarlane,Eddie Turnbull,Mowbray and McLeish.Where we are just now in my opinion is normal. Why do I continue to travel from Ayrshire ER is some sort of addiction, certainly not pleasurable.

Did he not play a few games at the tail end of the previous season?

It might have been Lee Power’s debut, probably Jimmy Boco’s?

To answer the original question, first ST was first year back after promotion in 1999. In spite of being a skint student and living in Dundee I’d go every week, home and away back then.

Started going regularly in the early 90s, going through on the bus from Kinross. Plenty of fun adventures, discovering drinking etc back then with my brother and anyone else we could talk into coming with us.

It was Larsson’s debut for Celtic that day. His first contribution after coming on as a sub was the misplaced pass laying it on a plate for Chic to rifle it into the net. Fair to say though that Larsson had better games after that!!

Good question, my guess would be when we covered the East, up until then it might only have been the Centre Stand, North Stand and North enclosure
