48 year old American football journalist died in Qatar today of a heart attack. No underlying health conditions. Been in trouble with the Qatari authorities for wearing rainbow lanyards and criticised them in more than a few columns. Family on social media suspecting foul play.

He said on his podcast on Thursday that he’d been ill for the last few days and been overdoing it. He said his body was telling him he wasn’t sleeping enough, he was suffering from Bronchitis and had visited the doctor twice while in Qatar.
